Apica premium A6- notebook
I have purchased the Apica premium A5 notebook before, which I enjoy using. Fountain pens write particularly well on the excellent quality paper and have now purchased the A6 size to carry in my handbag

Elevate your writing experience
I have been journaling in Moleskines for years. However, my business has led me to investigate other options. I help professionals establish artistic and creative self-care practices. I have been investigating various papers so I might recommend paper that will offer the best experience for my clients. I have found that when you are supporting adults in artmaking experiences you MUST use the very best materials. When they encounter difficulty, their first response is to blame themselves rather than the limits of basic materials. The paper in the Apica C. D. notebook is incredibly smooth. I journal with a Palomino Blackwing and the combination of this smooth-writing pencil on this wonderful paper is truly an elevated experience. The experience has been so wonderful that it has helped me maintain my own journaling because it is just so lovely to write and draw on this paper. I included two images to show my test page where I tried out the materials that I use most frequently in my journaling. I tested Palomino Blackwing pencil, a Uniball Vision Elite Blabk .5, Prismacolor Primier color Pencils, and various watercolors I use at home ( Sennelier, Van Gogh, and Stockmar). I also included a shot of the back of the page so that you can see that there was no bleeding through and very minimal ghosting. If you are someone who writes or journals frequently, I urge you to try this notebook You will immediately notice the difference such a smooth and luxurious paper makes--You deserve it!

Smooth Paper, One of my favorites!
I have used Apica A5 notebooks previously for journaling, but this was first time using the smaller A6-size for my daily carry notebook. The dimensions are about 4x6 (A6) and the cover is a thick cardstock. The paper is very smooth/coated, similar to Rhodia/Clair Fontaine. Grid is not too dark, and can fade into background but can also be used to keep writing in straight line. I write with Energel pens exclusively and there has been no issues with bleed or smudging. There are 190+ pages (counting back/front) so for the price, it's a huge bargain! My only complaint is that while the pages do lie flat, there are places in the notebook where pages are slightly stuck together (glue?) - possibly where the signatures are glued together/stitched? I'm not sure. But it causes those couple of pages to be less wide than others and also they need to be folded down to lie flat. I did not recall having this issue with the larger A5 sized notebooks, so maybe I got a defective one, or maybe it's more noticeable with smaller pages.Needless to say, I still enjoy the notebook and the paper quality. I recommend this notebook, but if I had to choose again, I might go with my Stalogy instead.

Whoops. Great Quality Item!
Lol I didn’t read the title and thought I was getting a full size notebook turns out it’s an A6 and it’s really small. My mistake isn’t affecting the rating though, great quality item.

Top quality in a soft-bound notebook
For writers demanding the highest possible quality in a fountain pen friendly notebook, this is it. "Apica Premium C.D. Notebook - A6 - 7 mm Rule - 96 Sheets" is also available in other colours and sizes and also in plain and square ruling. As well as the usual European A sizes, some B sizes are also available as well as others that are uniquely Japanese.Made in Japan and shipped from there, the pricing is higher than may usually be seen but the paper quality has to be felt and used to be fully appreciated. It is supremely smooth and is especially suitable for the popular Oriental-style Fine and Extra-Fine nibs that would scratch and scrape on lesser papers. With a Western Medium nib or beyond, it will feel as if writing on glass!Although a comparable Rhodia notepad has been used, it has some practical limitations that could have been foreseen but which only became apparent during use. This sidesteps most of them and the paper is definitely superior. There are no loose fibres, surface dust or other imperfections that sometimes exist with lesser quality products. Presentation is simplistic, stapled and soft-bound rather than having a rigid cover which may be preferable in some contexts. This may be just too large for a pocket, but for a handbag, messenger bag or anything larger it will be ideal.Top quality!
