This is a nice product but I bought it after searching for "refillable leather journals" only to discover that It can't be refilled. The product description should make it clear that this is not refillable.

Originally I had wanted a booklet like this with a metal clasp, but after looking and not finding one I liked, this was the next best thing.After receiving the it, it looks just as good I wanted it too. I'll be using this book for religious study, I'm sure it will catch eyes at the institute! The book is surprisingly heavy, this ads to the cool factor. Once I fill it with calligraphy and notes, it will be a sight for sure. The only issue I slightly had was the pen, it's not one I'll probly use in the book, however it is nice, and has some real stitching on it. However I'm pretty sure it's just a vinal or plastic on the grip of the pen, not leather. But I didn't buy this for the pen so I really don't care that much. I'll update my review on durability and things I notice!

I received the standard 7x5 in journal for my birthday last year, and I could tell it was quality made. There were no tears or creases in any of the pages or leather, and I have since taken the opportunity to fill it out with notes and idea that come to mind. The paper is god quality and not too thin. And the Leather is sturdy and doesn't seem to stretch when pulled on(specifically the wraparound strap). Wear and tear is excellent-I have had my first one since July last year and it is still in pretty good condition. I have big hands though, so I went ahead and purchased the bigger 8x6 so it is easier for me to write after I filled the first one up. Great gift for those you know have minds that generate ideas, and for those who keep journals.

Absolutely stunning!! You never know what you’re going to get on an item like this on Amazon. This is perfect. Gorgeous. Reminds me of Indiana Jones. Nice thick leather, beautiful craftsmanship, the right paper, I’m really glad I picked it. The other reviews were correct. I’m not posting a picture because as you handle it, it scratches VERY easily. Giving to son as Christmas gift. Don’t want to mess it up. He’s an amazing story writer. Hope this helps inspire. I think we will condition it after he opens it to cut down on scratching and make leather even darker. It’s not too light however without. And some may like that it scratches. Adds to look and feel. I think you’ll be pleased with this purchase if you choose.

I've been wanting a journal like this for at least a decade, but one thing or another always kept me from getting one. Found this, purchased it after some internal debate. Arrived yesterday and I've already dug into using it.The journal: great quality, the packaging was phenomenal! I love the feel of this journal in my hands and I can't use it enough. I will be buying more in the future.The pen: I love the look of it, wished the ink was black not blue from the start though, but that's my personal preference. The twist motion seems a little off, but I'm also not usually a twist pen person, I'm a stick pen person.I have not found anything with this product so far I do not like. 🤩😍

This is a gift for my husband’s birthday. I opened the package so that I could write an inscription. I think he will be just as delighted as I am at the unique quality and feel. I found an old journal of my husband when I was rearranging our library. Finding the old journal inspired me to buy this notebook in hopes he would start writing again. The leather smells rich, the book is supple and feels warm to the touch. The bindings are absolutely unique and I’m hoping “inspiring”. My husband is a child of God and he has the gift of a word smith, I pray our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren take the time to read, believe, and be in riches.

I love the way each one looks and feels in my hands as I carry it. I like the quality of the paper as I write in it. I like the smell of the leather as I open it to begin writing and when I close it when I’m done. I love the leather strap that I use to wrap around the closed journal in between writings. A quality product and a joy to use.

My journal arrived in a timely manner, well packaged, and with no damage. I have been using this beautiful journal for my D&D session notes using a bullet journal inspired system and I have received several compliments on both my note keeping method and on the lovely journal itself. Absolutely recommend this product. (NOTE I prefer using pencil for my notes so I do not use the pen. It lives on my desk at work and the few times I have used it I had no complaints.)

For a journal at this price I think it is ok, makes an excellent present. It's is definitely for writers not so much for markers or paint.

Bought this as a 3rd wedding anniversary (traditionally symbolised by leather) present for my husband, he really liked it, said he'd feel like Indiana Jones using it! That works for me! He can use it to pen poetry or write down his archaeological findings. Knowing him he'll fill it full of nerdy computer stuff. The pen that comes with it is high quality, nice and weighty, feels like a proper, traditional pen. 5 stars for sure

This is a beautiful journal and I got it as a gift for my daughter, it is great quality and value for money, only negative is it took a day or so for the really strong smell of leather to calm down but at least you know you are getting the real thing.
