Great music from the past
The only thing I didn't like is that this only available digitally. Other than that I'm so happy that I have the music that I grew up listening to with my mom. She loved the Vogues, and listening to them with her, I grew to love them as well.

The Vogues sing Memories & Good Old Songs
This CD is a mixed bag of a few gems & some weak choices of tunes by The Vogues toward the end of their run. Their version of "Shangri-La" is outstanding, one of the best cuts they ever did, featuring their top notch harmonies & Ernie Freeman arrangement. Notable also are "Time After Time" & "Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing" along with "Earth Angel" & "Moments To Remember" their last big hits. "God Only Knows" & "Easy To Say" (a song I'd never heard before) are the best of last 10 songs. Why they chose to re-issue "Dream Baby" & "Since I Don't Have You" is puzzling. Their great versions of "Greenfields" & "See That Girl" from their Reprise Greatest Hits LP would have been much better inclusions.

This is another of the Great albums that was recorded by the original group The Vogues. If you are in the mood for love with that Special Lady,or that "Hot Boy Friend" this album is loaded with 2 albums of those great Hits with the blending of those 4 great voices. Turn Around, Look at Me/Till

My wife and I saw them in concert years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the evening
One of the most underrated groups from the 60s. My wife and I saw them in concert years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Good stuff.

The Vogues sold these songs without even trying--they were THAT good !!!
Memories/Sing the Good Old Songs has all the tracks from two record albums by The Vogues entitled Memories and The Vogues Sing The Good Old Songs. The artwork is fine and the sound quality couldn't be better. The track set starts of with "Earth Angel (Will You Be Mine);" this features The Vogues perfect vocals in the spotlight and they sing this with all their hearts and souls. The sound has a slight doo wop flavor to it mixed with a modern take on a classic pop song; and they harmonize very well. "Standing On the Corner" is an awesome song about men who enjoy watching ladies walking up and down the street; they harmonize again very well and the musical arrangement works very well. "Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing" truly gets the royal treatment from The Vogues who perform this sweetly with masculine warmth as they sing this song to celebrate the joys of being alone with your one true love."P.S. I Love You" gives us another beautiful love ballad done up right by The Vogues--no wonder they enjoyed fame! The lush musical arrangement uses the strings to great advantage; and I really like "P.S. I Love You." "Once In A While" really impresses me and tugs at my heartstrings at the same time. Listen also for "Since I Don't Have You;" The Vogues were meant to record this song; their modulations between major and minor sound very good on "Since I Don't Have You.""Easy To Say" has a very lush arrangement and The Vogues make this shine in their capable hands! Their excellent diction bolsters their performance, too. "Just What I've Been Looking For" is more upbeat; and they sing and play this number with energy. The musical arrangement has great effects to it and "Just What I've Been Looking For" holds its own very well."Dream Baby (How Long Must I Dream)" has a folk rock flavor to it that is mixed with more mainstream `60s rock; the percussion sounds great while The Vogues bat this number straight out of the ballpark! The Vogues come back to deliver "Since I Don't Have You" a second time; this tune has essentially the same tempo and arrangement and again The Vogues handle the very, very similar tempo changes extremely well.Overall, The Vogues really did these songs justice. Their fans will love this two-fer CD. People who enjoy oldies will also want to check out this album.

Memories/The Vogues Sing The Good Old Songs And Other Hits
The Vogues' third Reprise album, 'Memories', was released in September 1969. The two singles from this album are 'Earth Angel (Will You Be Mine) which reached #7 AC and #42 Pop in 4/69, and 'Moments To Remember' which reached #17 AC in 5/69. Earth Angel is personal favorite of mine with a great Ernie Freeman arrangement and Hal Blaine's thundering toms. And we can't forget The Vogues' cover of 'Since I Don't Have You' which is GREAT!The Vogues fourth Reprise album, 'The Vogues Sing The Good Old Songs And Other Hits' was released in mid 1970.' Favorite tracks are 'Theme (The Good Old Songs Medley),'Easy To Say', 'I Know You As A Woman'.
