I've got fresh catnip growing
My cat liked these seeds so much, he dug them out of one of the pots I planted them in. The other two pots are growing nicely.

Quality catnip seeds.
I got these delivered on March 18 2021 and planted them 3 days later. They already sprouted, today is April 3rd. Two weeks!!! I used a well draining indoor soil amended with perlite. I water with a spray bottle not to overdo it. I keep the soil moist BUT NOT WET, so I spray it wherever the soil seems dry. I have the pot indoors on a southwest facing windowsill. I only planted about a third to half of the package and they are germinating at what looks like 100 percent. Not too shabby.*****************************UPDATE: 5/5/2021 The nip is still growing getting too crowded for this pot. Yeah the seeds work, so far I've used only a third of the packet.*****************************UPDATE 5/6/2023 The nip has survived two winters with not so great care. It died back a bit both times but it's still going. Great seeds.

I was able to get some plants started from the seeds, but may have planted them too soon.
I bought catnip seeds from two different companies. I planted one package that had picture of a black and white cat on it. I am somewhat disappointed with the yield of plants sprouting so far. I plan to plant the other brand this weekend and home to see better results.

A few sprouted but then died
I was hoping the non-GMO seeds would work for us. It seemed like they were going to because after placing them in the freezer for 24 hours, I placed them in soil; covered them with plastic wrap; and sprayed them with a spray bottle (to avoid over watering) each day. They sprouted then became too tall for the plastic wrap, so I removed it.They seemed to be doing okay without the plastic wrap, but then they started wilting despite my efforts in keeping the soil wet with the spray bottle. I tried to revive them but to no avail. If I'd left the plastic wrap over them longer, it's possible they would have gotten stronger, but I doubt it.I'm giving this only one star because the few seeds that sprouted (around 20 out of 1000!) died. The other seeds never came to be. I had even planted some of the seeds in a seed tray vs a pot with soil. Those never sprouted either. I guess it's time to try a different brand.

Some Seeds Do Germinate
First batch of hundred or so seeds didn't work. I froze them and thaw them but only about 2 seeds germinated and they died. So, I place the rest of the packet, well over thousand seeds, directly into a pot. Many have germinated and growing. My suggestion is to use a lot of seeds and don't bother freezing and unfreezing. From germination to viable plant is taking a long time. After nearly 3 months, thin and frail baby plants are the results. So frail, they break when I try to get them to stay up.

My cat loves it!
I bought it for Charlie. I planted it and he's supervised. He's happy, so I'm happy!
