The photos were awesome and the information about the Biltmore was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the book and am still enjoying it.

Not so much here in terms of photos of interior rooms; that's covered pretty well in other books. Nicely printed on heavy coated paper. A problem is with the reproduction of period photos and drawings Many are low contrast and rather muddy. A little work with a program like Photoshop or similar before printing could make these interesting illustrations snap. That's the reason for my 4-star rating.Recommended with reservations.

Quality of the book is outstanding. Love the photos, detail and information regarding the history of the Biltmore.

I bought this as a gift for my dearly beloved. She’s been wanting to go to Biltmore so I’m surprising her with a trip there this October. This book is a little something to go with the gift and it’s very, very nice. Lots of beautiful photos and interesting to read (yes, I peeked as you can tell). It’s a nice sized coffee table book too.She’s going to love it.

I gave this book to my 10-year-old grandson as a birthday present just before we visited the Biltmore Estate. He really studied the book, and when we took the guided tour at Blltmore, he added some very relevant comments to the info our guide provided. Excellent book!

I was disappointed in the condition of the dust jacket. It had a few dings mostly because the book arrived in an envelope with neither an inner or outer box. Someone took part of a USPS box and fashioned a sleeve of sorts that was not long enough to protect the edges of the dust jacket, and OF COURSE dust cover arrived with totally avoidable damage. I wrote the Seller to express my disappointment; it was not that big a deal but the Sellers response was to tell me how much care she takes, and that I only paid $3.99 for shipping, and that she is a teacher. I don't see what any of that has to do with the fact that in this case a piece bent of a USPS box bent around the book did not serve to protect the cover. She did not have another copy, but was willing to take it back. I need the book now for research so a return is not an option. Get it right the first time say I.

This book is very detailed concerning the architecture and landscaping of the Biltmore House. If you are looking for just an overview then you should probably look for a different book. We are very pleased with the book. The four stars is due to the long time that it took for the book to arrive.
