Pontoon

I love the mount. Strong, looks good and frees up deck space. It can be difficult to get everything installed. If your not handy, get a qualified mechanic to install it because it’s worth it. I spent a year searching for the best way to install an anchor winch on my triple tube pontoon. Anything off the front would likely hit one of the tubes and anything off the back would hit the fish sensor on the port side and the ladder on the stbd was in the way. Anchor mfg had the best answer. I believe that this was the best way to install a anchor winch.

This is PERFECT ! I just put this on my Premier Explorer 221 pontoon boat and mounted a TRAC "Big Water-45" anchor winch on it.The platform was easy to install, matches the skirting on the pontoons perfectly and is plenty strong. My back problems have made it impossible for me to pull up a 30lb. mushroom anchor out of the lake mud and this thing has saved the day ! It being outside of the boat has freed up a lot of deck space inside the boat too. The awesome way it's designed will work on ANY pontoon ! THANKS !

The design is great, it saves a lot of deck space on the boat, however, the company that manufacturers it went cheap on the welds. They didn't run a full length bead at the most stressed areas of the ledge. I have ran mine for about a year and two of the welds are already broken. I took my to a local welding shop and had the welds re-done and had the entire unit powder coated. There is no doubt this increased the service life of the ledge. I am running a Minn-Kota DH40 with a 30 lb river anchor so there is quite a bit of weight that it supports.

Very well built and designed. My only complaint was that the instructions came printed with steps 1-5 on both sides of the instruction sheet. So I was missing the rest of the steps. However, the company has a great instructional video available. Only took about 30 minutes to install. Very sturdy.

What a great idea, I needed a anchor mate on the rear of my pontoon for a long time I've had 5 back surgery's and can't lift more than gallon of milk this was the perfect answer to were to put the anchor mate to be out of the way in the back of the pontoon. Thanks this is great.

I tried it out and just today the anchor ledge bent so bad that I have to remove it.

The though is good but truthfully it is not strong enough to support a MinnKota Deckmate 40 plus a 30 pound anchor. Dont get me wrong, it does support it, but it sags towards the rear of the boat with all that weight hanging out on the end. I still like it though....Better than drilling holes in the floor of my new pontoon.
