My two adult sons assembled it in about 2 hrs following included directions. All parts were there. Delivered one day later, but okay with me. No damage. Like the Expresso color, sturdy strong wood, fits my Queen futon mattress well, but sometimes slides forward some. Don't like I need to move it from the wall about 2-3 inches to recline or lay flat. Takes two to raise it back up in sitting position, I can't by myself. I think because the mattress is thick and heavy. Hold the back when letting down flat because it slams down fast and hard.

This futon frame is super sturdy and the assembly instructions were super easy. It took myself and my two teenagers to get it together but it's actually a better quality than I expected. We haven't put it in the bed position yet but I will be doing that soon to really test the sturdiness of the frame.

It came with no written instructions and the little brackets and bolts where the frame rests on the legs were missing. It was easy to put together once I went to the manufacturer website to download the instructions and watch the video. I had to go to the hardware store to get the missing pieces and get some wood to make a pedestal for the futon to sit on. The pieces of wood that the futon sits on are not very sturdy for adults and it will snap in two if I don't. It was shipped on time for what I needed it for and for the price I'm happy I guess. It's just a shame it was missing things.

The futon frame which I ordered was good. It replaces an old futon frame which finally fell apart. It comes in 2 boxes and the pieces are well marked. The written instructions are a bit confusing. The video on Kodiak furniture are very helpful and are clearly photographed. With the video, it goes together well as long as one takes time to understand the position of the seat and back. It seems to be just fine. I have only had it now 3 days. It seems well made and the pieces fit together well. We already had a cushion so we did not order a new one. Be patient and take your time putting it together. The parts fit together well.

With a moderate amount of floor space, I was able to put this together by myself in forty-five minutes. Admittedly, the final step of inserting the seat into the floor frame was a bit harrowing -- two people would have made it substantially easier. The trick is to keep one of the floor frame sides very loosely bolted to the connecting slats before sliding the seat frame in, then compress the loose side and tighten the bolts. Other than that final step, you basically need some floor space and a screwdriver to get the job done correctly. The frame is solid and sturdy; I use a 10-inch Mozaic futon mattress with it, and the results have been excellent!

Good, sturdy futon for the price. I was able to assemble 90% of it by myself as a woman, but I needed help at the end holding the frame together while you attach the back. Instructions were clear and it came with extra parts in case you lose a few.Assembled, it is sturdy and looks like a classic futon frame.

The instructions were ok but the video was stellar. A couple of holes were drilled wrong but since it was in the seat part, I didn't worry about it. We did not run into any major snags besides that. Looks great and as expected.
