American Outback Glacier Internal Frame Hiking Backpack

The pack looked good and seamed to be good quality for the price. I did not use the pack however.After receiving it I realized it was to small for what I needed. I sent it back with no problems and received the full refund within a few days. I would have kept the pack but just not enough packing space for my equipment. Five stars for the no hassle refund.

This bag is wonderful. Based on the price, I expected something fairly cheap, and was incredibly surprised. The bag is well made, the compression straps don't slip, and the internal frame is a miracle. I have a badly damaged lower spine, and was afraid I wouldn't be able to wear a pack this large at all, but I put this on, and even fully loaded, this pack was more comfortable, and felt lighter than the laptop bag I carry on a daily basis. I can, in fact, only find two points to complain about with this bag. There are no lashing straps on the bottom, and they don't make an 80L version with all the same features.

8/15 ordered a 60 L backpack, received a 3 L hydration pack.the amazon fulfillment folks can't read English.so now I wait, and wait, and wait.the backpacking trip for this weekend is off.very disappointing. Amazon is not amazingUpdate 8/27: package arrived, the real deal.Not 60 L: it is 55 + 5 L.looks good. Hydration pouch is a joke as it is in an interior pouch.why can't the description be accurate ?I would not have purchased a 55 L, I wanted a 60 Lwhy didn't the description state 55+5. Fraud !

Went backpacking with this for 3 nights, going over 10 miles. Love the outside pockets. The bag compartment in the bottom is great. This bag was a 55+5 and I found that it seemed a little bigger. Adjustments were easy. So glad we got this bag.

Shoulder strap ripped on the first overnight hike. Very surprised, after 20 miles can not use it anymore unless I start using duct tape.

Everything was as advertised, looks great and hope to try out soon.

Bought this backpacking backpack to do a 3 night backpacking trip in Washington and it was perfect. I loved having easy access to chapstick in the hip belts and water in the side pockets. Lots of storage for your gear. A nice addition was the bottom pocket that separates your sleeping bag from the rest of the backpack so it doesn't get dirty. It rained on us a little so having the rain protector was key. Definitely a great bag!
