The Okki Nokki RCM record cleaning machine is an exceptionally well-designed device created specifically for cleaning all vinyl recordings. The Okki Nokki is a quality product made in Germany and consists of a heavy-duty motor/turntable and vacuum system encased in a compact aluminium chassis. The Okki Nokki RCM's motor function provides for ultra-quiet forward and reverse operation. When used with the supplied goat hair cleaning brush, the forward/reverse turntable motion allows for extremely effective groove scrubbing. Once cleaned, the record can be vacuumed using the aluminium suction arm. The residual dirt and fluid is then removed by suction and transferred into the internal liquid reservoir, which has a sensor that will shut off the machine when full.

Indispensable!
For years I have been cleaning records to my own method. I thought that I had arrived at the ultimate way of cleaning records. Which is, however thorough, rather time consuming (requiring about 2 hours per LP...)The Okki Nokki produces results that are frankly, astonishing - requiring just 3 minutes per LP. It cannot, of course, remove scratches - but surface noise caused by dirt ingrained into the grooves of a record is removed altogether.Right now, your records may appear clean, but you will be pleasantly surprised by the dramatic improvement in sound quality produced by this incredible machine. Even on new vinyl!Trust me - do not attempt any further upgrade to your turntable set-up without buying an Okki Nokki first. Like me, you will then want to rediscover your entire vinyl collection. It really is that good. And whatever method you are currently using to clean your records - I'd wager that this machine will leave that standing.Head off to youtube (search for "Okki Nokki record cleaning machine - Review & Demo!" by DrCassette ) for an excellent instructional.

Regenerate old vinyl LPs
Decided to digitise my LP Collection - many dating back to the mid-1960s. I realised that I needed to clean them to reduce clicks and pops before recording my master 192kHz/24 Bit music files and, with the high number of LPs involved, decided to invest in a dedicated LP cleaner with vacuum. Comparing the number of clicks/pops for an old LP before (3568)and after cleaning (1220) prompted me to give the LP a 2nd clean resulting in 650 registered clicks. The machine was simple to use and allows the LP to be cleaned in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions at the flick of a switch. The vacuum tube is simple to install and is very effective - powered by a separate switch. The LPs look like new and sound marvellous. Have cleaned over 40 LPs now. One word of warning: the goat hair brush included with the machine did shed hairs at first but this was not a problem after the first couple of LPs.

Excellent!
Delivered quickly and well packaged.Very good machine for the money. When used with distilled water I got excellent results. After the first play of the record after cleaning i had hardly any crackles and very low background noise.Old recordes sound as good as new once they had been put through the machine. The outer case is nice and sturdy with a good finish.I had been using the Spin Clean Mk2 before and had good results from that but the Okki Nokki delivered even better results. The cleaned records have a lovely bright warm sound to them.

Works a treat, but don't expect miracles
Having fallen back in love with vinyl yet again, this is the first time I've decided to try and keep this love alive by shelling out on a decent record cleaner. Yes, there are more expensive options available, but I was just not willing to invest in four figure cleaning devices, at least until I'd tried one of the mid-price options. Yes this is a superbly built piece of kit and its easy to use. However, don't expect it to banish every single crackle and pop. Its only as good as the slab of vinyl it cleans and it won't magically remove scratches etc. The major plus is that on well recorded new vinyl, after cleaning, the vinyl can sound as good (if not better) than hi bitrate .mp3's, flac/hi-res files. It really is that good. However, on second hand vinyl, your still very much at the mercy of what hides under the surface dust. If you can find vintage mint or vg+ vinyl, your in for a treat, just beware of vinyl sellers enthusiastic grading. All in all, for the money, the best place to start with restoring unloved vinyl.. just don't expect miracles.

This machine isn't cheap, but it does clean your records exceptionally well. It fetches off an amazing amount of dirt off what I assumed were my pride and joy "clean" records! Enhanced sound quality can be taken for granted. Background hiss is greatly reduced. It doesn't come with a lid, but I keep mine boxed anyway, and take it out to clean in bulk. I can clean around 9 or 10 albums in an hour, and it's a labour of love! Having just bought a new deck, this purchase has breathed new life into my 40 year old record collection!

It Works wonders on your LPs
Great machine that gets all the years of grit, grease and general grime out of your valuable LPs. I have cleaned around 200 Lps with this machines so far, it is very easy to use, childs play in fact, it takes a couple of LPs to get used to using it so try on a non valuable Lp first, but once your in the flow thats it. You do need to drain down after about 25/30 records or the machine will shut down, but it only takes a minute to do so no real hassle. I use the L'art Du Son cleaning fluid, also available from amazon as I find it gives a better result overall. The sonic improvement this machine makes to my records is quite frankly huge, even old LPs that are over 40 years old sound amazing, well worth the investment if you are a serious vinyl enthusiast, or just want to keep you collection in tip top condition I Highly recommended the Okki Nokki, so glad I got one, probably the single best upgrade I ever made to my analog setup.

Watch out for a faulty uneven platter which warps records.
Unfortunately it arrived with a slightly warped platter (and no cleaning fluid, but luckily I had some). I didn't notice at first and internet searched 'Why does the Okki Nokki stop sporadically when you clean records?' as it couldn't complete a rotation without pausing. It wilfully warped a few test records before I realised this was not normal behaviour. Pretty annoying as it cost so much and some inconvenience as I has to go through a laborious return process and stay in all day for the collection from the courier.
