Finally found something to make 22mm watch bands work with my solar instinct 2x. This was my third attempt at buying an adapter and the only one that worked. The adapter looks like it belongs.

I bought this for my Garmin Descent Mk3 - 43mm which takes the same bands as the Garmin Fenix 8 - 43mm. Out of the package the two screws in one of the clips were backed out to the point they nearly fell out on their own and the spring mechanism was hanging out. I was able to tighten the screws with a jeweler's screwdriver and the clips work but the fit on my watch but the fit of both clips is sloppy. The are the right width but the grip on the bar is too loose. Otherwise, they look fine. I will probably send these back and try again with a different brand.

Description says it is for 22 mm watch bands. IT IS NOT. If you want to use a 20 mm band it works great. Just that now I have 22 mm bands that won't work with my Fennix 8.
