A lot of "Non-CEN" content here.
I've had my copy for about a month now. I got around to looking through ALL of the Cardiovascular questions (both in the book and online). After going through all of them, I noticed that there is a LOT of content that IS NOT applicable to the CEN exam or the CEN blueprint.I found there were questions on the following topics, all of which are NOT on the CEN exam or part of the CEN exam blueprint:A) 15 questions on IABPB) 8 questions about how to diagnose the different types of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.C) 6 questions on hemodynamic parametersD) Questions about types of pacekmakers, normal pacemaker settings and troubleshooting themE) There were questions about indications for, troubleshooting VADsThis is just the cardiovascular section.Out of 150 online questions and 155 questions in the book. I tallied 91 questions that are beyond the scope of CEN exam content areas. These topics are more relevant to CCRN principles.I point this out because I feel if you were a CEN candidate and came across these types of questions, it might send you on a path of a lot of unnecessary studying. When I review the other sections, I'll repost if there is anything else pertinent.

Don't waste yout money!!!!
I bought this book because it claimed to be in the new 2011 format which seemed like a good study aid. A coworker and I were studying for the CEN exam together and found this book to be completely useless. A good deal of the questions are way beyond the scope of the CEN exam, really more geared for a CCRN exam. The online questions were exactly the same as the questions in the book and the rationale provided was usually useless. The online test questions often had the same answer for multiple choices and if you picked the wrong one it was marked wrong even though it was the right answer. Not helpful if you are trying to assess your score on a practice test. We found the practice tests on the ENA website and the Pass CEN book (even though it is in the old format) were exactly like the questions on the test. We both passed today on the first try without using this book. Do not waste your money on this book!!!!

Helpful
Good comprehensive review of latest CEN exam material. I feel this book alone, adequately prepared me for the exam. The book has room for improvement though. A few questions and rationales are not well thought out. The online questions offered with the book are the same exact questions that are in the book, in computer format. Danger, some of the online answers and rationales do not match the questions! Good luck on the exam!

overrated
This is written according to the new 2011 guideline. Thought it might be good. After reading a few chapters, realized it didn't provide much of a rationales to most answer. It's hard to do it with pure memorization.

Wouldn't recommend...
Book has good basic principles of review...however online version has several question w/ duplicate answers of the exact same..then counts off if you don't pick "the right one"...leading to inaccurate test results. This gives you an inaccurate assessment of what you need to review. Book is the same. Save yourself the time/money and get the ENA book.

Great book of practice test questions
This book is basically all practice test questions. They are good questions and each question has a short explaination of the correct answer, but it is not exactly what I was expecting. I have just started studying for CEN and thought this would be more of a review book/study guide.

Lots of review>>
I chose it because it was new and up to date . It is all questions and it has the correct awnses and explains why. But not anything else. would have like a better review of what is required for the testing

Good Choice
I purchased this book and rated it four star. I loved it for not only the question & answer, but for its rational. It also gives you an idea of how the examiner is thinking and motivates you to read further
