Pretty good esc. good for 2s in a 4wd, not good for 4wd on 3s, it will go into thermal shutdown. It works super well on a 2wd, and on road, especially on 3s my rustler ríps. I also used this in my 4-tec for a while and it works very well too. Highly recommend for a 2wd Platform or on road applications

Awesome esc, ran in a trx4 with an outrunner Holmes revolver on it. Perfect match, lots of adjustability. Not water resistant, daughter drove thru a couple inch deep puddle at speed and it was enough to fry the esc. Don’t let that defer you from grabbing one. Very good product.

I have a Traxxas Slash 4x4 and love Castle ESCs because of the easy to use Field programming card. I didn't want or really need to go full Mamba so this seemed like a good update of the proven Sidewinder SCT/3. I don't think the hardware is that different from the 3, just a bigger fan and case, but its performance is a noticeable improvement. After updating my Field card online, I used my same tuning setup as I did on my old SW3. Now the drag brake feels stronger, throttle response is smoother and stronger, and my laps are faster.

The esc is great with alot of options and more but the fan in the esc sucks eggs and you will need an aftermarket one if your bashing it cant get wet an when it does it starts the surging.

COMING FROM CASTLE I WOULDNT EXPECT. WAS ONLY RUNNING A 2S 6500KV SPEKTRUM MOTOR IN MY LOSI 22S DRAG CAR, ALL SETTINGS LOW AND TIMING ZERO. STARTED SMOKING AND ALMOST SET MY CAR ON FIRE!! WAS ACTING FUNNY WITH PROGRAMING SEVERAL TIMES THEN THIS. THANKS CASTLE!!

Works as it should love the controllablity of it on power ratios I ha e it with a 1750 kv motor on a scx10.2 and its amazing the control it has just with I had a program card for it to adjust a few things

lots of wheelies on my old Wheely king... just like with the deseased mamba max pro i used with it... i was able to download the motor parameters with the app from my dead mamba max and upload it directly to the sidewinder... flawless torque control and no need to redo the damaging motor test.
