Best combo for high carbon knife sharpening.
These stones work great! No soaking required, dry fast, and this grit combo is exactly what I need to keep my chef and sushi knives sharp enough for work. If you have nice, high carbon steel knives, you need to get some shapton stones. The glass ones are nice, but I don't have to worry about these breaking. The cases are nice. They double as storage and stand, and are well ventilated so the stones can dry out quickly even if you put them away right after use.

Really happy with this purchase
I upgraded to these stones, and my only regret was my previous attempts to save money. These are amazing. The 320 is great to remove chips or dings in the blade and get them into shape. The 1,000 is my workhorse stone which gets the edge from well formed to sharp. The 5,000 puts a polish on a blade that is fine enough to CLEARLY read from the reflection in the blade. I was so happy I bought other stones to try them out and see if I'd like them, but these 3 right here are really a complete set and all I needed to make an exceptional edge.

The perfect set to get you started on whetstone sharpening
I'm relatively new to sharpening on a whetstone but knew I needed to dive in. I bought this set after doing a lot of research online and on Reddit. These stones (and good technique) are basically all you need. I went to goodwill and purchased a couple of cheap knives for practice. After several hours of practice I felt confident on moving on to my personal knives. I usually just use the 1000 grit but have used the 350 for removing dings and chips.

Quick work
The shapton system is lightning quick at putting a refined edge on your tools. I've used these with my plane blades, kitchen knives, and chisels. It puts a nice bevel with minimal effort and just requires a bit of water. They have remained flat and I couldn't be more pleased. The plastic containers are a bit thin, but I couldn't be happier with this product.

Excellent
I recently purchased these for my husband at his request. He had researched quite a bit and decided on this brand and this set. They arrived very promptly and I must say he is thrilled. To the point that he is happily sharpening chisels and block blades every night lol. They are easy to use however a word to the wise, all the instructions are in Japanese. We used Google lens to translate some of the precautions but thankfully my husband does have some pretty extensive experience with sharpening stones. He says that this is by far the best set of sharpening stones he's ever had. He's getting things done faster, more smoothly, and the sharpness is impeccable. He uses a high-end chisels made in Switzerland And these have been given new life thanks to the sharpening stones. They've gotten so sharp that my husband impact cut himself last night and did not even feel it because it was so sharp. Definitely recommend. Make sure you have Google lens so that you can translate most of the inserts.

Best Stones.
A bit expensive but they really are some of the best stones. Good for a beginner and a pro, If you can’t get an edge with these you’re doing something wrong. They can put an edge on a butter knife if you wanted.

Great stones
Paired with a flattening and cleaning stone, these work amazing. They cut very fast and hold up pretty well.I also use them in a sink mount which helps greatly in keeping them wet.
