I tried this today for the first time since I got it. Worked fairly easy. I had no problem getting it to work. Now...I did have a single slight issue with it. After opening the can I noticed it had left a extremely sharp burr. But only one. Im going to try i again and see if it does this again. Ill post an update soon!!

This was a great can opener for about 6 months. At that point, it started skipping spots on some cans, not fully cutting through the weld. The blade doesn't have a nick in it, because it works great every 6 or 8 cans. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for the uncut areas. It also is becoming more difficult to get it to engage on a can. It just seems to be worn out, after 8 months of use (maybe 4-6 cans/week).

Once you have used this to open cans, you may wonder like I did as to how it took me so long to find that it was not necessary to mutilate every can that I opened, and that from now on, a clean cut was promised, and not only that, but a perfectly fitting lid for the short-term storage in the fridge of any leftovers in the can was now mine! Once you use this and see how marvelously it opens cans, your life will change. Call it an awareness of what can be yours for the rest of your life. This small, affordable, well engineered tool your kitchen cannot afford to be without!!!

I got this can opener in February, less than 3 months ago. It stopped working last week. I use the thing once a day to open canned dog food. It's a big can so my dog gets 1/2 at each meal. That's all I use this can opener for. I don't see how it got so worn out so fast. It worked like a charm the first 3-4 weeks. After that, it began to take more and more turns around the can to get the lid off. After 2 months, it was clearly more trouble than it was worth. It took several minutes just to open a can and really made my hand sore when using it. I expected this item to be more durable.

This is a very easy to use smooth edge can opener. The lid is removed without a sharp edge that can cut you as it appears to unseal the can lid rather than cutting it off. Being a nice bright red & white color the can opener is easy to spot quickly in your drawer amongst other kitchen items. The handle has a nice firm but rubbery feel for a sure grip. I however do wish that there was a little more of a flat or recessed area for where your thumb rest on the can opener as I think it would be more comfortable to use. Overall this is a fantastic manually operated can opener that anyone can enjoy.

Different type of can opener than the traditional one. Take some getting used to but workable. Some minordifficulty in initiating it to actuate and to dislodge the cover but nothing that requires it to receive a poor review. Infact it is safer overall to use leaving you without any sharp edges. The only thing lacking is having it reversable for both left and right hand user. I would definitely give this a recommendation if you don't own one.

It worked fine, separating lid from can with smooth edges—but for only 2 years. The can opener seemed to grab the edge of the can and rotated once around the top, but it did not cut the lid off. I wish I hadn’t donated the old fashioned manual can opener that we had for decades.

Dry hard to engage. Had problems making fit on some cans

No nasty edges, just a clean cut. It never seems to get involved with the contents of the tin, it always comes away fromthe tin clean, as though I`d never used it. Of course I do wipe it ,but as I say, it`s always clean after use. It might be a little awkward the first one or two times getting it on the tin, but really it is a wonderful tin-opener ( domestic use only).Well worth the money, buy one and see.
