Easy to install, results in a very professional appearance and functional camera system.
I've installed front and rear facing dash cameras in several of my vehicles. This product eliminates the need for lengthy wiring and removal of interior panels, saving time and preventing potential damage to the interior of your car. The installation took less than half an hour and my system works perfectly while looking professional. This is a high-quality device, despite it's simplicity, and the instructions and cables were similarly excellent.

Works great and thanks to Dongar support
I purchased a Dongar Pro for a dash cam installation on a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I was looking for a better way to hide wiring and provide continuous and timed power than running lines to the fuse box. The Dongar Pro provides ignition on, timed or continuous operation when the ignition is off.Initially, I used the supplied 10 pin connector to the self-dimming HomeLink mirror. Everything worked, but it did not provide any continuous source of power for timed and continuous operation, only power when the truck was running. Dongar support was a great help. They told me there is an unused 5 pin connector accessed under the dome light cover that provides continuous power. Yes, there is, and the supplied 5 pin connector works. The hardest part was getting my fingers under the front portion of that dome light cover and pulling down. Everything always feels like it will break, but it came right off. The power wire for the Donger sticks out the front and is not all that visible with the cover back on.Now, there is continuous and timed power along with direct to ignition options to my dash cam -- all indicated by the different colored and flashing lights on the Dongar. It works great and provides an easy to implement power solution without running wires to the fuse box or an aux switch. Dongar Pro is recommended for both the product and support.

Check Compatibility With Dongar Just to be Sure
Amazon erroneously says this is not compatible with my 2020 Highlander Platinum, but Dongar says it is. It worked like a charm. So if Amazon states it isn't compatible, double-check with Dongar to be sure.My Highlander has an assembly unit for the rear mirror and it was a bit difficult to remove. It is a two-piece design and those two pieces didn't want to separate so they could be removed. I had to install the adapter with that housing still intact which was a bit difficult. Then trying to get it all reattached was even more frustrating. I did finally get the two pieces separated. It would have made the whole installation only take a couple minutes if I had been able to do that right off the bat. Not a Dongar issue. This is a very clean installation and I am really happy with the purchase.

Plugs right into 2025 Tacoma's OEM dashcam plug and works perfect
Received quickly and comes with every adapter you need to plug in a 3rd party accessory.I used mine for a dash cam in a 2025 tacoma that has the factory wiring 5pin wiring plug for the OEM cam. Popped off the two covers, plugged in the adapter, wire tied and put everything back together and now I have a dash cam without a 20ft cable precariously stuffed all around the dash. Cable length more than sufficient, camera operates with engine off (although it's a VIOFO and wont do park mode unless they fix the camera) But it was super easy to install and looks great since it is small. They even include usb-c, mini and micro USB cables in-case you have something ancient to plug in. Plus you also get the ten pin cable to piggy back off the rearview mirror if it has one and a 12 pin for...honestly I am not sure and they don't tell you anywhere I can find.

2019 Toyota Rav4 Limited DOES WORK!!!
I contacted DONGAR Support and let them know so hopefully they can update their list of cars that the DongarPro is compatible with.I have a 2019 Toyota Rav4 Limited. I didn't know if this would work so I reached out to support. They let me know that if my rearview mirror has garage door opener buttons on it (which it does) then I may be able to give it a try. I am so glad that I did.The DongarPro Installation was extremely simple. After popping the plastic protector away from the rearview mirror, I unplugged the connector that was already there, plugged in the DongarPro, and then plugged the rearview mirror back into the female end of the DongarPro cable. From there, I turned on the car to make sure that my rearview mirror still received power and it did. The installation itself after finagling the wiring back into the plastic protector was maybe 5-7 minutes it didn't take long at all. It would take less time if your rearview plastic doesn't give you a hard time like mine did. From here, I made sure my dashcams worked before running wiring (I got the Viofo A229Plus on Black Friday sale so the cams were not installed yet)with the DongarPro I didn't have to hardwire my dashcam to my car and it made the process VERY easy. I just plugged the usbc end of the Dongar into my dashcam and it turned on right away. From there, I ran the wires, mounted my cameras and BOOM all was done. The parking modes are the star of this show. At first, I thought the parking mode didn't work, but then went into my settings of the viofo dashcam and found the issue. Be sure that when you get a dashcam, or even if you already have one, your dashcam has parking mode capability. From there, go into your settings and be sure that the parking mode setting is turned on. Once I did that, I made a test run to the grocery store, and sure enough, it worked. The two modes that are most likely used will be "Ignition" and "Timed" ("Continuous" mode just runs your camera 100% of the time until it detects your battery is getting too low then shuts off). So for me, when I went to the grocery store, I put the DongarPro switch on "Timed". Which records for up to 4 hours or until your battery is too low. I was only in the store for 10 minutes and was happy to come out to the car and my dashcam was still on. (I posted the pictures of the dashcam on, the car off, and the DongarPro light green showing that it's working) I went home and checked the SD card to find that my entire store run had front and back camera recordings of the parking lot.Additionally, when I got home, I switched the DongarPro to "Ignition", and sure enough, the dash cam turned off when the ignition turned off. I am very happy with my purchase!
