Keeps objects secured and yet doesn’t make a mark after removing

I have tried everything to keep my sewing machine foot pedal in one place. No matter what I tried, I always had to chase the pedal down. I no longer have this problem. It is right where I want it every time! Since I leave it down all of the time and I have a robot vac, I just put a small box over the pedal to protect it and the vac doesn't bother it. Literally sticky like 1/8 inch thick, 2-sided, 5x7 inch duct tape, but removable. So sticky that, fresh out of the package, it stretched itself &, in this test, my skin, well before finally releasing. I stuck it to the outside of its glossy, thin cardboard packaging and pulled it off without damaging it or the pad. Rolled it up and it stayed stuck to itself; pulled with effort at the roll to unroll it. So it is as advertised: super & literally sticky. It may possibly survive a motorbike road trip. It has a very strong, chemical, noxious odor; so, until it's done off-gassing, I'm first testing it stuck onto a vertical, metal wall with various items stuck to IT in my 90*F (degree symbol inaccessible) garage rather than my vehicle. See photos. AND my last photo is at 45 minutes of "hanging around" - a plastic pen remains stuck to it. The heavier pen, the phone charger, and the pad of sticky notes is now on the floor. At one hour, I removed the pen and the pad easily remained on the wall. I then removed the pad from the wall with the same resistance, like a duct tape sticky note, as when first out of the package - the mat stretching out of shape until it released itself from the metal wall. Zero residue. If I can figure out how to edit this review after posting, I'll update with how long before the odor dissipated. And then I'll likely return it & keep looking for a traction version of nonskid rather than a literally sticky, tacky pad.Bought my favorite nonskid pad on clearance a few years ago at Wmart and then lost it a few weeks ago. Am looking for a simple, 1/8 inch thick, about 4 x 6 inch, weighty, possibly silicone-type material, skid-proof, traction-type pad, that can be rolled up without sticking to itself; does not literally trap things with overt stickiness, but rather with a resistance to slide. Something with weight and that works better than the too-little traction of the drawer liner material that keeps forks from sliding around. Comment if you know of one.

Keeps my forever walking foot pedal on my sewing machine in place. Even on my carpeted floors!!

I had to modify this pad to meet my needs. Things stick to it like superglue and unfortunately the items I put on it need to come off once in a while. After bending a metal pen in an attempt to unstick it, I opted to spread a little dirt on the pad and brush it off. Now it acts as I hoped it would... slightly sticky and keeping items from rolling around in the depressed area of my dash. If I were adding something permanent like a camera that would stay with the truck when I sold it, I’d give it 5 stars.

I use this to set things on my dash. It works to wash, and doesn't lose it's sticky. Sits in the hot sun all day but doesn't melt or leave residue on dash. Great product!
