Looks nice. Plays audio CD's perfectly. Came with a separate USB power cord, but didn't seem to make a difference if I used it or not. I couldn't get it to burn a single thing. I tried different programs and different types of files but nothing worked.

This is a great asset for the laptops without CD/DVD Rom. It is very functional and easy to install and use. It is definitely very good quality.It has the 3.0 USB type of data transfer which make the read data transfer as a bulk so no interruption during the transition. It has power and USB cord to install during use of CD/DVD. This will make you use two of your USB port. I recommend the item if you are looking one.

Never got it to work. This is junk in a silver box. Tried run it using PC Windows XP, Windows 10, on a lap top, desk top, at home and at work. Even tried to use on my IMac 🖥 in desperation. This crap is another simple RIPOFF. Wasted money. Don’t waste yours on this item.

This is a compact and quiet unit which has shown to be very fast to import pictures from back up discs onto a new laptop.I especially like the secondary power cable as my laptop is a MacBook Air which has excellent battery life and I didn't want to spoil this, so I use either a usb power outlet or my power bank.For me so far this has everything, so long as this performance continues (and I have no reason think otherwise) I shall continue to be very pleased with my choice

Terrible, I’ve had this less than 6 months and it will no longer play anything. It simply spins the disk and then goes dead. I was willing to live with the fact that it was bulky because it was cheap, however a non-working DVD player isn’t worth the price cut.

After some searching I discovered that, while Windows 10 doesn't have a media player, VLC media player is available to download free. The combination of this external DVD drive plus VLC media player works fine for me; I've used it for a couple of months without any problems at all. As a non-techie, it was also fairly straightforward to set up. To run, I find that simply plugging in the DVD drive and then inserting the DVD starts the VLC programme.Overall: looks good, performs very well, seems durable, and is easily portable; excellent value.

As a Mac user, I needed an external CD drive but don't use one often enough to justify spending a fortune. This is not only really cost-effective, it also looks very nice and works straight from the box. I simply plugged in the USB drive and it worked. I haven't tried buring onto a CD yet, but having seen more expensive items with not great reviews, I can certainly recommend you give this one a go.

I got this external DVD drive so my children could play their games on their laptops and tablets. So far we've used it with 2 laptops and 2 tablets, it's worked fine on each occasion. It's small sized and can be kept hidden in a drawer when not using. A big plus for us is that it's plug and play, so there is nothing else to download before you can use it.
