Rescue Throw Bag, 70 feet, 3/8 inch Rope, Floating,

I'm currently enrolled in a water rescue class so bought this throw bag to use for practice outside of class. After unboxing it, I noticed it wasn't nearly as heavy duty as the ones we've used in class. I went to the local park to give it a test. After the first few throws, I noticed a small amount of fraying/loose stitching inside the mouth of the bag. After a few more throws, the mouth ripped half way off (see picture).Edit: 24 October 2018Following the posting of this review, I received a message from Hydra Creek, stating that they had seen the review and that they would be issuing a refund and shipping a new bag. Because of this awesome service, I'm bumping my rating up to a five from the original two.

Got this for emergencies and tested it out today a couple times. The rope is thicker than other throw bags and this bag has a better float than others to keep it afloat.

I bought these to take with us in the camper. Have used these in the fire service and know how important they can be. Received them today, I wanted to stuff the bag myself. Rope was knotted when I threw it, I knew it would be. Within a couple of minutes the bag ripped while I was re packing the rope. Everything was good about the this throwbag, but the bag is junk.EDITTHE company contacted me. This is one of the best customer service issues I have ever had. Just received this bag and I am very impressed that the quality is inline with more expensive throw bags. The construction of the bag is superior and the extra rope is an added bonus!

This is a must for any boat. Rope is tangle free and it is easy to hang up and use.

Great reach, well constructed and holding up well after weekly submersion during whitewater kayaking. I have two and would purchase additional if I needed another.

Bought 20 of these throw bags to keep in our Police Cars for water rescues (11 were shipped and we are still waiting for 9 on back order). Hopefully we will never need them. Training with them is very simple. Just make sure to do a few test throws before you need to use them for real.

I was looking for a less expensive but good bag and chose this bag for a rescue class I had to take. The bright orange line was very flexible, plenty long, and easy to throw into whitewater. I would easily by this again.
