Trouble shooting was the most fun.
Assembled it with my grandson and wouldn't work. We identified 3 things that might improve its performance and after doing all 3 worked well. We tightened the bow string, added brads to stop the torsion springs from unwinding, and sanded the shuttle. Worked great after that. What a learning experience.

Hard
It was okay, but it was very hard to assemble. I could barely even line them up, and when I did, 25 minutes later, I have to snap something apart because it is a millimeter to far.

not that great
this ballista does not actually work very well. We tried numerous ways of making it work and it just didn't. The dart basically flops out, when we tightened to the level it said. It seems to need more of a rubber band type of stretch, not string.

Not fun to either assemble or actually use
The media could not be loaded. Absolute pain in the ass follow half baked instructions, just to end up with a lopsided pile of wood that doesn’t even shoot. Half the holes don’t line up, the dowel rods that do are smooth as ice, the rope obviously doesn’t (and can’t) be tightened enough to even put tension for it to slide forward at all. Waste of money and more importantly, waste of two hours. I bought this at hobby lobby though so at least I had bought other things that were actually useful and worth my time
