Pros, Cons, and Real World Experience.
Pros - I love this thing when it work. - Solid battery life for about 4 hrs shoot(I haven't tested to see if it will last longer.) - small and compact size. - wireless tethering? Who wouldn't love that idea.Cons - The build quality is okay for $300 product. - Included cable for Sony system has connection issue. (haven't tested for Canon and Nikon system.) - Minimal instruction to get it started. - The app crash every 3-5 mins. (this will freeze the camera sometimes.) - sometimes CamFi goes into "sleep mode" randomly, where it takes 30 secs or more to received photos on the app. - It's not a reliable system over all.I was very excited to use this product when it arrived. Inside the box you'll find CamFi Pro, Samsung battery, connection cables for (Canon, Nikon, and Sony), and minimal instruction sheet to get started. There was no general information on how to setup any camera so that you can use the wireless tethering system. I did some research online for Sony tethering system and got it going.Real World ExperienceAll the test were done on a6500 and a7r III.On average, it takes about 2 mins for CamFi to recognize USB signal from the camera. (Note: CamFi will not turn on WiFi signal until it is connected to the camera.) Later I purchased USB-C to USB-A cable and used it with a7r III. The connection time went from 2 mins to solid 1 min.CamFi AppI downloaded the app on the MacBook Pro. It was super glitchy as expected from the reviews. Half of the time I couldn't even connect CamFi to MacBook Pro because it wasn't sending the WiFi signal. (Note: the cameras were connected using cable provided by CamFi for Sony system.) It seems like CamFi has hard time recognizing connection from the camera.CamFi Mobile AppIt was better than desktop version. I still run into lots glitches here and there. The connection seems to be slightly more reliable.Image Transfer SpeedMacBook Pro - Usually it takes about 10 secs for JPEG and 13 secs for RAW.Phone App - It takes about 3 secs for JPEG and 7 secs for RAW.

Event Photoghaphers have no use for this
I purchased one of these and attempted to bridge it to be used with my onsite printers, there's no clear instructions on anything with this device and it's not compatible with any secondary wifi so i returned it.
