no more reception losses, this really works.
I have tried so many different aerials, unfortunately none of them did the job, but this one is really good, no more reception losses, even when I was driving on a stormy day, still works... magnetic is strong enough to hold it, as I tried 70mph national speed limit and no problem at all.

Improved!!!
This certainly is improved over the earlier version I've replaced with this one.I used to get black spots in coverage at certain stretches of road, always the same places with one of these that I bought about 18 months ago. I was sceptical that this was actually any different as it looks identical but it performs far better and black spots in DAB coverage are now virtually zero. Very pleased with this!

Very Good, But Some Room for Improvement
I bought this aerial as an externally mounted antenna to replace the internal stick-on windscreen item that came with my DAB car radio. There is no comparison, this aerial is far superior and when connected, I was able to receive 69 radio stations, instead of 7. Vast improvement. I have not tried all the stations, but for those I listen to regularly, I have had consistently good signal strength, clear sound and almost no station drop-out while driving. I live in a rural area away from the big towns/cities and so far have stayed within a 50 mile radius of home, but the signal seems to get stronger near the big towns, so I am delighted. I'm looking forward to trying it out on a long journey. A good strong magnetic base keeps the aerial in place through bad weather and motorway driving.Unfortunately there are some problems with this aerial. This is an active antenna that features a signal amplifier which is what makes it so good. But the manufacturer has chosen to put the 'amplifier unit' on the aerial lead and only about 10 inches (25 cm) from the magnetic base. The instructions caution that the amplifier unit is not waterproof and must be sited within the vehicle. So that creates a couple of obvious issues: 1) where to mount the aerial on a metal base that leaves the aerial outside (to get the best signal) but within a few inches of a suitable aperture to feed the cable through, so that the amplifier unit is inside. 2) the aperture does need to be big enough to be able to feed the connector and the amplifier unit through. 3) the aerial only comes with 3m of cable, so that also limits siting options. It does make you wonder why the amplifier was not incorporated into the magnetic base or at least put into a sealed waterproof case.Eventually, after a bit of trial and error, I sited my aerial on the car roof near my tailgate. The amplifier unit would not fit through the rubber conduit where all the other cables are routed between the car and tailgate, so I had to carefully fit the thin aerial cable under the rubber door seal and above the car headlining. However, even with a dead straight cable run, this was only just enough to reach a couple of inches beyond the rear view mirror. As my DAB radio was an upgrade adapter for the OEM car radio, I was able to cope with that, but if my DAB radio was one that fitted into the dash it would not have reached. Not even close. I ended up buying a 3 metre extension cable which did the job without any obvious signal loss. I couldn't find a suitable extension on amazon, but I did get one from an auction site. This begs the question why this aerial does not have optional longer leads. This aerial does a good job of receiving the dab signal and was an excellent replacement for the original provided windscreen aerial. Incorporating the amplifier into the waterproof magnetic base and providing the option of 6m of cable would make this a fantastic piece of kit.

Easy to install in the car
In my case, the aerial has to be installed in the car. Not sure if I used it outside using the magnetic base, the booster bit would be weather proof. Live in rural area, so dab is always intermittent, that said my wife’s car has an installed factory fitted dab radio and her’s in no better. Would buy a replacement when needed.

Excellent. Does the job well.
I'm using this with a Nextbase DAB unit and it works perfectly. I drive lots of vans and needed a solution that I could easily take in and out. This works a treat. I get a few drop outs at times but that is mainly dead spots in transmission. Signal seems almost as strong as my high spec in-built car unit. It holds to the roof of the cab well and has never fallen off. I'm very happy and can recommend this.

Disappointing
The connection is not standard and this is not clear in the write-up. I bought another of these earlier with a standard connection which worked excellently. Make sure you know what size connection you need.

Esuper Universal Active DAB Antenna: Solves DAB-005 reception — but nowhere to mount it in Fiat 500C
I bought the Esuper Universal Active DAB Antenna With MCX Connector because DAB reception with the windscreen aerial supplied with the DAB-005 is poor in my Fiat 500C when the car is moving. This antenna resolves the DAB-005 reception problem – but where to mount it in the car? At 31.5 cm tall it is too tall to go on the shelf inside the windscreen (first photo), only 37 cm from magnetic base to non-waterproof amplifier prevents mounting on the bonnet, the car’s soft top prevents roof mounting, leaving only a crazy angle above a door (second photo) or on a windscreen pillar.Sadly I see nowhere in the Fiat 500C to use this, so I guess I’ll have to return it.

Works better than expected
Was skeptical but this was clearly much better than the stick in the window type that could only get a signal while stationary this give me 124 dab stations just outside west London,.I've also added some butyl it's like silicone but formable to wrap the non waterproof amplifier in so I can have the antenna in the centre of the roof
