Easy to install
These are very easy to install and fit all standard lock cables. The only downside is the adhesive, it's has a high cushion, so anybody with a blade can cut the plate off

*Not a real security measure*
I used these to secure several lab chromebooks that came without any security port. I followed the installation instructions and they felt secure. Video surveillance showed they came off with a sharp pull. All assets lost.

Seems to work great!
Attached one of these to a piece of exercise equipment so I could use a spare notebook cable lock on it.I was concerned about the adhesion but this 3M adhesive is I believe the same stuff used to hold car windshields on - it's quite sturdy!Convenient that it came with an alcohol wipe to clean the receiving surface as well.After mounting the plate, my lock attached perfectly and seems secure.I also bought smaller rectangular version of these for places where the disc won't fit, but I prefer the disc version as I believe it makes it harder to pry/torque the lock off.

These are great security pads for laptops with snatch ports. They’re easy to install as well
