Works as advertised. Comfortable, not too firm. The seller even provided a link to a YouTube video describing how to use the foam roller.

I have a roller that is pretty hard, and I was hoping this would be softer to start out with, but it was firmer than I wanted. Maybe they don't make them any softer. It is well made though. I expect to get used to it in time.

Compact and hard, this is a good roller for getting deep into aching muscles. It looks like it will hold up to use, too!

The quality of the roller is stellar, but it was way too painful for me to balance on then try to roll at the same time. All my weight was bearing down and hurting me more (left hip, IT band issues). Can't speak for others but I'm not a tiny gal and this might prove challenging for large folks. Returned for full refund, without hassle.I have "The Stick" (calf roller for runners) and find it much more gentle and easier to manipulate in just the right areas with as little or much pressure as I deem comfortable. The idea is to provide some at home soft tissue massage and fascia release -- not to come away sore, bruised and needing Ibuprofen!

Did not offer enough density. I was contacted directly but the owner and I told him that the product was not effective for me. He said thank you and didn't suggest that I return it for s different one. So I didn't understand the point of the contact /I say it doesn't work and he does nothing. So I returned it.

Great product! I use it for stretching my back to fix my posture for shoulder impingement prevention. It's soft enough that I can roll my back over it repeatedly without pain.

I sent this item back only because I was afraid to use it due to my current back problems. I think it's a great item if you don't have serious back issues.

The texture of this foam roller is wonderful - it feels a bit softer than the more basic ones, yet it is still dense and firm enough to use for all of my physical therapy exercises. I mistakenly ordered one that is shorter than I need, so I rarely use it, but I do enjoy the feel of it and would recommend a longer length (36") to anyone who is considering buying it. The shorter one costs less, but is not as versatile.
