Update Review:The Seller was kind enough to send me a replacement unit to try out after my first critical review on the product.I have installed my mount on a Tesla Model 3 by attaching from the back of the display screen and have it hold my iPhone 8+ in landscape mode. My main reason is to run Waze program while I am driving as I prefer it over the built-in navigation they use which doesn't report Police trap or great rerouting options.I really love the mount and the infrared mount as I simply hold my phone near it to open and grab my screen. For this feature I give the product full 5 stars with one caution: Make sure you know exactly where you want to mount it as it comes with a sticky adhesive on the rubber mount which works with the vacuum seal, while you "can" mount and then move it, I do not recommend it as you will lose the maximum grip if you remove it and move it. While this is not an issue when you mount it on your Windshield, if you mount it on your Dash or on other surface you want to make sure it is clean and flat, if your surface has any arc to it, it may not hold. In my case I was mounting it on the back of my Tesla display screen which is metal and flat but it would be holding the full weight of the phone on an angle, I really need the adhesive to hold and it seem to do so.The problem I was having was with the wireless charging power and using it with Waze Application. It seems that the 7.5w rate charging works fine but I am not really convinced it is full 7.5w still even with the replacement unit. If I mount the phone into the charger it would charge, although slow, if I run Waze application on it, it will hold my battery percentage at same level but will not decrease. If I set navigation route on my Wave application (it uses more power) I will get a slow degradation of power like about 1% every 20 or so. This is no big deal on normal driving but if I was on a longer road trip my phone will discharge slowly. I have compared this by installing another wireless charger unit and putting my phone on it in my car and got better charging result under same condition.However over all opinion is that I prefer this unit over other options and I rather use the wireless then having to plug in the wire to it. On long trips I have setup a separate power cord that I can attach to the phone to keep it charged/charge while the phone is still in the mount.So overall I give this unit a 5 star and I also give 5 star to the seller who were very vigilant about insuring I was satisfied with the product. I also recommended this to other friends who also drive Tesla in my area as they like the way I have my phone mounted.

The fact that this is so versatile, giving you both a dash and vent mount, is awesome. Both are well engineered and feel sturdy and well built. My dash is curved and not really conducive to dash mounts, so I opted to use the vent mount. The vent mount is a locking clamp, not a resistance spring like others. It holds way better this way. InThe feature that really sets this thing apart though is the auto opening and closing. It's just really really cool. Everyone who's been in my car since I got it has said "Did...did that just..?" as I place my phone down in it. It opens with a high pitch motor squeal vaguely reminiscent of a wind up toy but that's no indication of quality it feels very well put together and grips the phone well. Just make sure you place it down straight or it will clamp in crooked.As a bonus feature the car charger it comes with, has a built in USB port so you can charge a second device. Pretty helpful in my car!It's great that this has a built in wireless charging. With my S9+ though it doesn't do a great job. Admittedly, if I'm using my phone in the car, the screen is on and its using both GPS and Bluetooth...so I didn't expect fast charging. After about a 45 minute commute I'm usually at almost exactly the same % as when I started. Give or take 1-2%. I don't rely on my car charger to juice up my device most of the time, and if I needed a stronger charge I could always use the extra USB port to charge with a cable.All in all I'm really happy with this purchase, its cool, works as advertised and most importantly doesn't send my phone crashing to the floor when I hit a bump.

I love the charger since it has the auto adjustment to hold the phone, also it charges very fast my S7 edge and also my wife S6 edge... Love the easy way to take out my cel from the charger with the touch of a button. Also is an amazing add-on to use the cellphone as a GPS when traveling since the suction cup is so well constructed. Definetely recommended!!

Final update: Replacement unit charging coil stopped working. So, my original opinion stands: this product is crap. Cheap, doesn't last, not worth the money.Also, person from customer service was insistent that I remove negative review even before I received the replacement unit. Sorry ma'am, but until your company produces a quality unit, this review stands.Update 2: replacement unit is still charging, but won't stick to anything. Company says they will look into improving their products.Update: After seeing my review, the company got in touch and offered an updated version of this unit. So, plus two stars for trying to make this right. Will update again after I receive the replacement.Charger/holder worked for less than a day! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP!!
