Exactly.....don't worry about that nasty serrated blade. Worry about the marble that's part of the mechanism. A kid could really get hurt on that marble.

Q: Can i legally clip this in my pocket as an edc in the state of california? i heard somewhere that the blade has to be >= 3 inches.

There is no limit on blade length for FOLDING knives in CA, that limit is only for CONCEALED, FIXED blade knives. I have an 8" folding kukri that is perfectly legal to carry. You could legally carry concealed a folding long sword under a trench coat, if the mood suited you.

Q: How is the grip? I don't normally like FRN, and prefer G-10.

I really like the grip. The surface texture really grabs on to the skin and doesn't slip at all. I haven't tried grasping it with wet hands yet, but I would suspect it would be just fine.
