It is a very good product, smell wonderful, horses love it, easy for feeding medication to horses. Just that it is so expensive, I only use it when I am away and let the sitter use it, I myself still using apple juice since my horse has to take pills for the rest of his life. Then apple juice is a lot cheaper. But if you only use it once a while, this is the best you could use.

Not able to upload pictures, this is the 2nd bag I received that were all broken, crumbled, and the centers are all dried out, hard as a rock or the center is empty! I am also getting your order is late or unavailable. I had to hurry and place an order each time on ebay. Those came in normal with the soft center. I am going to cancel my subscription.

This product is a great idea. It's a hefty little alfalfa treat that horses seem to love. Shaped so that there is a space in the center with some kind of substance that holds the pill in place. The substance is not wet or sticky, but almost as if you're sliding the pill into soil. Holds it well, and the pill does not dissolve in any way.All of that said, our horse has Cushings (PPID) and needs a pill every single day. We've put the pill in so many things, and after a few times, she stops accepting that food item. We've used grapes, mandarin oranges, apples, pears, carrots, sweet potatoes... Eventually, she stops accepting the food, with or without the pill. She took it 3x in this treat. After that, she caught on that the pill was in there, due to the taste of the pill, and refused to accept the treat anymore. So we have an almost full bag on hand if any of the other horses require medication.It really is an excellent product, well thought out, and apparently very tasty to horses. Highly recommend!

The filling was completely dried out, so that a pill wouldn't stick in it. I dripped a bit of water in the hole and it softened up again, though. My picky horse didn't like the fruity filling flavor and spit it out even without a pill in it. Was hoping for something that could be served stealthily with alfalfa cubes or pellets. These pill pockets end up being $1 each, and as I give pills every day, it seems pretty expensive for an alfalfa cube with a hole in it even if he liked them. The search goes on.

I bought these pill "pockets" for my daughter to use with my grandson's 24 year-old Arab. Being 24, he can get a bit stiff & a bute pill given when they arrive at the barn is a real help, mainly during the cold, damp winter months. These pill pockets make giving the horse the medication a breeze.

Great product. It hides pills well and the horses like the taste. My only issue is that I got these for my mini and she cannot eat them. She tries, but can’t seem to deal with it due to the size. I crushed them up and fed them out as treats, but I could not just cut them smaller and still have them hold the pill. I would recommend for full size horses or larger ponies, but they may not work for minis.

This product has been great for getting my donkey to take his Cushing's med. I have tried many things and he always figures them out and then refuses them. It looks like there is not any filling in the middle, but when I warm it up a few seconds in the microwave, the pill is easily pushed into the gel inside of the pill. It works for small pills, may not be great for larger ones.

Wow could the package be any smaller? The price per bag is outrageous for the quantity you get. Save your money this is a bad value. Fool me once!
