It doesn't have bluetooth, so you cannot use a wireless head phone. It has to be connected to the device.

Yes, Joe, you can!!! I use it in my car all the time. It comes with a cable that plugs into your cigarette plug and then it attaches to the audio system. Then you plug a USB into your audio slot in your car and it then attaches to the CD player. It will be the same universal plug on the other side of the USB cord that you would plug into a cell phone. I think some people who say it cannot play in your car just don't know how to do it because I use it every day in my car. Great little player!!!

what cables do I need extra to plug into Honda ex-l 2018?

I don't think you need to plug it into anything except your cigarette lighter socket in your automobile. I bought it so I could play music in my car without commercial interruptions. In that respect, for me, it works great. I know it will do many more things which I don't need. I have no idea what your desires are; however, I will tell you -- to listen to CD music no matter where you are it's stupendous. You just have to recharge it every once in awhile.
