Ferro AldoMens Classic Cap-Toe Lace Up Derby Dress Shoes

I think this might be my first Amazon review ever. I felt compelled to write this because these shoes exceeded my expectations. For being so inexpensive, the quality and design is excellent. The light laces they came with were way too light and stood out in contrast so I got gray laces from Amazon for $6 to replace them. I would highly recommend that. They do smell a lot - left them in the garage for 5 days and that helped a little. Also, it is very hard to find nice looking gray shoes.

Here is another great example of a pair of shoes purchased from Amazon that have turned out to be real winners- I was searching for new work shoes and thought I'd take a risk here, which was not much of a risk given the price. These shoes are surprisingly well made and comfortable. Best of all I receive regular compliments on the shoes- they're strikingly attractive without being garish. The tailored details really pop and they work well with a suit or more business casual attire as well. The fit was just a weeeee bit long, but I suspect if I had gone 11 or 10 instead of 10.5, it would have been worse.All in all, excellent shoes for the cost.I liked them so much I bought them in brown as well.

The shoe looks great and fit snug around the foot. Toe box, as expect with this style, was a little tight and long days on your feet will hurt in this shoe. Tread was a little slippery but overall happy with the purchase.

At the beginning I did like these pair of shoes, since the color is very nice and they combine with almost anything. However, when I tried them I was hugely disappointed. The material is very fragile, it’s not flexible at all and it looked like it could broke within a couple of years, but I was wrong... they broke in less than a year. As you can see in the pictures, the sole is teared apart as like it was cut or something, which I thought at the beginning, but you can a see an additional small cut above the big one. The sole material is TERRIBLE, its very thin and not durable at all. If you’re looking for a decent pair of shoes, PLEASE don’t buy these. You can find much better quality within the same price. I really hope the brand can make something about this, as I was very optimistic of my new pair of shoes. They lasted exactly 10 months.

For the price, these aren't bad shoes. I like the style for casual wear at the office and they are more fashionable than a standard black shoe. Size was good and they are fairly comfortable for the price and my feet didn't hurt at all at the end of the day. They had a very strong leathery odor when first unpackaged that has since mostly gone away. I haven't worn them too many times so I can't comment on the durability, but they seem well made. For the price I wouldn't expect them to last a long time if I were to wear them every day for some time but I just wanted a more flashy shoe to wear once in awhile for work.

Wow what can I say these shoes fit perfect, they go very well with my dress/casual clothes. Very stylish shoes that make any event you are going to look your best. These shoes are also comfortable! Nice dress shoes that are comfortable, what more can you ask for!? I'm very pleased, and would recommend others to give these shoes a try.

First, yes, these do emit a strong chemical odor on arrival. For those who returned them or threw them out or various other things I read in the reviews ... come on ... I put them in a closet for a week to let them have some air and they were fine after that. In fairness it really is a strong scent and you would not want to wear these in public the day they arrive.The other reviews I see talk a lot about durability issues. I thought I'd chime in with my experience about 18 months in - they're fine. Even maybe a bit better than fine. I wore them casually here and there for a while, and their comfy enough, but on a recent trip to Prague they were the only shoes that survived an airline luggage mishap so I wore these for 30k steps a day for a week and they survived the ordeal no problem, as did my feet. The front of the sole is wearing thin but that's on me for pointing my feet when I step more than anything.As for fit, I wear a size 11-1/2 normally so I followed the note in the comments here and ordered a size 11. They fit perfectly.If these shoes were $100 or more it'd be a different story. But I got my first pair around $40 and just got a new pair at around $50 and at this price point it's a solid deal for a fine pair of shoes that just happen to look good as well.

The sole is now all black as opposed to the beige before.Ive been buying these shoes for 3 years but i probably wont bother now as it changes the look of the shoe so much.
