It works!
After winding the ball and working on the wrist it speeds up and generates colors, first red, then blue, then green. Stays running as long as the wrist movement continues. Takes a couple tries to learn how to use it but after that it works nicely and does give a workout to the wrist and forarm.

Works great.
This is a fun tool to build wrist strength. I got it for myself to help improve strength for rock climbing. Now everyone on the family uses it. It is well designed and lights up different colors for the level of intensity which is motivating and fun. Reasonably priced compared to many. I got the clear and black one.

Took a bit.
There is no good way to explain how to get this thing going strong. It took me a few days to get that real whirring sound. Now I can get it going fairly easily and I look at it more like a fidget than an exercise device.

Nice hand strengthening tool!
It’s ok for the price. Feel stronger after a few.

Favorite power ball for strength and rehab, auto-start is a game-changer!
I am a physical therapist and grip strength enthusiast. I've used several different power balls over the years and I can honestly say that this is one of my favorites. Other models start with a pull-string or supposedly really fast hand-starting of the wheel (which I have NEVER successfully performed), but the auto-start on this thing is easy and intuitive. Instead of having to re-wind the string if you pull it just wrong or don't get it spinning up on the first try, you can quickly reset and start this ball spinning again.Mass, resistance, and feel in the hand is comparable to most of the other power balls out there, but the auto-start is a game-changer. I've used this with a few of my patients dealing with arm/hand/nerve injuries over the past week or so and they've all been successful getting it started and then getting a good workout with it on the first day; much easier than dealing with the frustration of using the string-started power balls. The nice thing is that because the resistance is derived from the inertia of the spinning ball, you'll only get as much resistance as you have strength to put into it. It won't spin faster than you can make it spin. It can definitely challenge your endurance (great for rehab!) but you're not going to get crazy jacked forearms and hands from just power balls, but they're much more joint and tendon friendly than heavy torsion spring grippers. The only con I've found, if you can call it that, is that it doesn't have a RPM gauge like some power balls do. However, I popped the RPM gauge out of the top of one of my others and put in this and it works great (the little cap on the top has the same design, making it an easy swap). RPM gauges do take up a bit more space in the hand though, so that could be problematic for people with smaller hands. All in all, this is a great spin (ha!) on an old product and a good value.

Get a grip!
As an avid pistol shooter/instructor, I was looking for a product to help enhance my grip strength in order to mitigate recoil. After two days of using the Power Wrist Ball, I am pleasantly surprised. Are my fingers a bit sore from using it so much? Yes. Has my nagging tendonitis in both elbows been reduced? Yes.Do I feel this tool is going to work for my intended purpose? So far, I would have to give it a solid A.It does take a bit of practice to get the hang of the motion, but my best advice is to GO SLOW! At least in the beginning. As you become acclimated to the basic motions you will discover that you have the ability to change grips to work different muscle groups, thus providing a multitude of possibilities. As far as my intended purpose, which is to enhance grip strength while firing a pistol, I will be able to report back with solid, numbers based evidence as to whether this item will help in that regard (I use a Mantis X dry-fire system) and should be able to see a clear numerical indication of whether or not this product is working for me.I am on day 2 of using the wrist ball and trying to average 10 minutes per day per hand. I will update this review in two weeks indicating progress (if any).

Good product, mediocre construction.
Nice product, but the wind up feature wears out very fast. Used for only a couple weeks until it became extremely difficult to get started.
