The on/off switches are a huge plus to have, works reliably with audio setup on a Macbook Pro.
I use this hub with a bunch of audio gear on a Macbook Pro 2015 Retina SSD and it's been reliable out of the box, no glitches running DAW audio interfaces and gear for a few days now. I originally purchased the 7 port hub but discovered it was filling up fast and future expansion might mean even 10 wouldn't be enough, so the 13 port seemed like the best safe option (so long as you're not superstitious about numbers) without going overboard with a 16 port. It's not that I even have 10-13 ports running at the same time, but it's much more convenient than having to to plug things in and out or swap ports for all your uses from phones, to cameras, audio interfaces, keyboards, controllers, and studio gear.At first I didn't think the individual on/off switches would be all that necessary, but they are great to have. Most of the time when I put my computer to sleep or power off, connected devices via USB also go into sleep or shut down. But this is not always the case, lots of music gear and devices stay on and go into a blinking or standby mode where it never actually powers down. One of my surface controllers runs patterns of lights that never stop unless powered off, so in this scenario the on/off switches are a major benefit because I can just switch them on/off as needed instead of having to unplug a device. I actually can't imagine using a USB hub that didn't have this option. Of course USB 3.0 backwards compatible on all ports is fantastic to have and it charges my phone just fine while mixing music at the same time.PROS: Sturdy solid metallic aluminum chassis, has plastic ends (I've never had them fall off), USB 3.0 backwards compatible, individual on/off switches, sleek looking and not overly bulky, little blue LED lights next to each port indicating on/off. Isn't overly obnoxious looking or filled with LEDs that are too bright. The silver aluminum is sort of a dark grey color, clean simple minimal design. Top loading ports for easy access and tighter use of space. Best price for a powered USB 3.0 hub in similar range.CONS: Huge wall-wart power adapter, the 7 and 10 port also use wall-wart AC adaptors and are slightly smaller in size. I've been told only the 16 port hub uses an adapter with a lump in the middle. Wall-warts take up tons of space, so I plug mine into a 1 foot extension cable so it'll fit into my AC power conditioners without hogging up a ton of space. The hub is not available in black aluminum from this brand. My theory is this hub is that it's actually an OEM made device and companies buy it and print their logo on it as I've seen the same hub offered by three different companies. With that it seems the only real differences are not performance related but packaging and color choices, I could be wrong. The 7 port hub I had previously was from the same ACASIS brand, and it actually ran really glitchy for the first 15 minutes of use and I was about ready to try another brand. Not sure what happened, it's like it stabilized or my system needed to adapt and optimize itself as after that it ran perfectly for weeks with all sorts of various use. All in all this is a good hub, I can't really relate with most of the problems or complaints other have experienced.

Took a chance, and seems to have been worth it
I just received and tested out the 13-port model of this USB 3.0 hub. All ports work and all LEDs and switches work. Tested speed on each port using a USB 3.0 flash drive. I am getting around 160 MB read/write, so as far as I can tell the ports are working well and not restricting speed. Plugged in an iPad and all 13 ports seem to charge the device properly. This is a huge advantage over most other hubs that only provide one or two dedicated (non-communicating) charging ports, like my Anker brand one that this is replacing. I have not connected multiple devices yet, but am optimistic all will work as expected. If not, I will come back here and update my review. The only concern might be that the body of the hub does get quite warm if you have all 13 ports turned on, which I assume is due to all 13 LEDs drawing current and not being able to vent off all the heat. I don't intend to keep all 13 ports active all the time, so this should not be an issue. On the upside, the power supply is massive, both in size as well as in its rating (5000 mA, yes, apparently it can supply up to 5 amps of current!) and does not seem to get very warm at all with all ports on. Given this is a Chinese brand I had not heard of, I was worried about taking a risk in buying this. But this appears, so far, to be an excellent product and worth the money. I found no other USB 3.0 hubs that provided this many ports, especially all with charging capability.

Great for future expansion needs.
Purchased on May 5th 2019, and today July 3rd 2019, I can honestly rate this product and seller as 5 stars. All 13 USB ports still have that crisp and tight new-like 'feel' when I plug various devices in. Connective ports that have my 'regular devices' already plugged in are all well and very responsive. I randomly alternate ports for my devices as a means of checking overall health of my multiport hubs and in 10 years time I would say this product is the best by far that I've used.Over the next 18 months, I plan to upgrade to the 16 port USB A type AND USB C type as it's time to upgrade my home office computers and the mess of electronic equipment that i regularly use. The only pain I have is that running Windows 10 updates causes recurring problems with my pc and peripherals and I've had to unplug and reconnect the hub to my Lenovo desktops and laptop repeatedly. Recognition of hub and other peripherals was under 20 seconds with SSD drives but that's Windows 10 problem not the multiport hub device itself. As a side note, one of my desktop computers runs both Microsoft and Linux OS (operating systems) and I've had no problems from either when the hub was first installed.Hope this review helps others.

Solid USB hub - Power adapter actually fits in place
Bought a few cheaper hubs in the past, that had the power adapter, and even a nudge for those ones would disconnect the power. This one is solid though, and the hub itself is made of aluminum and the power plug actually stays on tightly. I am using 5 of the 10 ports, all work, and the USB transfer speed that I am seeing is around 100MBps. It looks good and works. The only downside is that it is a bit more pricey than some of the other hubs I bought, but in this case I feel like you get what you pay for. Also, would like to note, the LED on light is kinda hard to see it is literally a tiny pinhole and you have to be looking above to see the blue light.5/5, functionality is great, has a small flaw, which is the LED hole, but overall still the best USB hub I have used compared to a lot of other ones.
