I am a watercolor artist and I live in a very dry climate. Sennelier watercolor paints are my favorite! The colors are simply vibrant and lightfast.. I love that this collection came in a beautiful wooden box. I will use these paints for a very long time.Its worth the money. If bought individually it would have cost me alot more $$.

I have tried different professional watercolor brands and this is by far the one I go to the most! I had bought samples of this set on eBay and I found these to be so much fun to use! The colors are vibrant and great to glaze. And they don't look shiny when painting over the same areas, unlike other professional brands I have used.When some of my fav colors were finishing I ordered 4 in larger tubes, but that was almost $90 with taxes! So I decided that I was better off getting this full set of 98 colors. I am soooo glad I got it. I know that this will last me for a long time and I can now refill all my half pans many times over.These paints are good to travel too. I have filled my travel palettes and have used them often with no running mess or issues. Just make sure you let it dry about 5 days before traveling. I also use them in my studio palette (see pic) and it is a joy to sit down and paint. I love them and highly recommend them.

These colors are wonderful. They come in a sturdy box, and mine also contained a high-quality brush. The color choice gives you the opportunity to test every hue that Sennelier produces. I love having so many colors at my disposal. Empty tubes can be replaced individually, or not if you decide that you do not like that particular color.The only drawback, if you want to call it like this: It is sometimes hard to decide which colors to use for a certain project. If you paint en plein air, you cannot take the complete box with you, you simply have to decide, and that can be hard with so many colors to choose from.Please note that you need a palette to use the colors. They can stay almost infinitely on your palette; their lightfastness is very good, and it is no problem to dissolve even tiny hardened oddments to use them up.

This is a beautiful box of paint. There was an issue with Sennelier switching the brushes out. Hyatts made it right and sent me a better substitute. Great company to deal with.

These paints are amazing! I actually prefer them over their pan sets. I find that the tubes rewet easier and buying them here they actually cost a little more than the 48 pan set. This set is $500-$800 if you buy from online U.S. retailers so this set was a great deal. There are lots of colors I would've never bought if I was buying open stock. Buying 30 open stocks tubes actually cost more than this 98 set plus two additional free ones. The only negative was that it was missing one color and the set just gave me a different color in its place. I eventually bought the missing color so my set is complete.

I received these watercolors as a gift for Christmas. I have a set of 12 and I fell in love with the paints. So receiving this was a wonderful gift ! There are so many colors (however I did get 2 duplicate colors. But I heard it was because they no longer make opera pink? I don't know.)The paints came in fine, however the box was poorly made. Having such a lovely wooden box was very nice, but the hinges in the back immediately came off when I opened the box. They are the hammer in type of hinges.. so I have to buy new hinges and install them myself. Which is a shame because this set is so expensive and yet the box was so poor...

This is an excellent paint set, for the quality and the selection. If you've worked with Sennelier paints before you will love the variety of colors that you won't find in their smaller sets. The box they come in doesn't do an excellent job of keeping them organized, but since it's huge it's not practical to paint with anyway. It's a beautiful presentation but you'll likely want to just assimilate the set into whatever pallet & organizers you already have. The little tubes pack a lot of paint, and the smoothness & color quality make it a great paint to work with. I highly recommend the brand, no matter what size of set you decide on.
