I loved this set, and would love to buy more!

I have been on a mission to test out professional series watercolors by the major brands (so far I’ve tried Windsor and Newton, Daniel Smith, Schmincke, and now Sennelier). Of these, Sennelier has been my favorite! These is little to no granulation in this set (Daniel Smith or Schmincke better if you are looking for this) and the clarity is excellent with no unintentional blooming (I find the texture of Schmincke often has an uncontrolled blooming and border look once dried). In this sense, these paints are very similar to my Windsor and Newtons only these activate WAY easier and a little goes a long way. This could be due to the pigments but that leads to my next point: the color selection is INCREDIBLE! I love the inclusion of almost fluorescent colors (ex Opera Rose, Phthalo Green Light, and a bright Phthalo Blue). Having a light blue makes creating dark shadows a bit trickier if you don’t want to use the Ivory Black (only color I would change for this palette) but if you mix the blue with the Burnt Sienna you can get a rich dark brown that does the job. The pigments travel really far and smoothly with wet on wet. I have found that lifting after the paint dries is a little harder than some of my other paints but I tend to always do lifting while the paint is still wet so not and issue for my work flow. Lastly, I have only used the tinniest dab of paint from the 10ml (larger than most travel palettes 5ml tubes!) and I have not needed to pour out more despite completing numerous paintings. Compared to the other pro grade watercolor brands I’ve tried, I am extremely impressed with how little paint I need to use to get vibrant colors.

I use a few very high grade watercolors , these are made with honey, they are artist grade. Beautifully translucent, allowing the artist to add layers of lovely details , create light. The watercolors are in my opinion the best. I would recommend buying the tubes.

I couldn't believe I found this set on Amazon for around 42-43 dollars. Sennelier is top of the line and worth twice the price. Their colors are crisp and transparent. I highly recommend this set, as there is a good variety of colors for straight or mixed use. The size of the tubes are good and the brush that comes with this set is small, but extremely nice to work with. Highly recommend!

I really love these paints !! Amazing quality, and the best ever for great glazing techniques!!! I’m really happy to say I also bought this set for $34 !!! Although, I’m sad to say the pallette is an odd design, and wish it was built better. The cheap plastic lid broke on the journey over here. I’m kinda bummed. I’m glad I got it so cheap otherwise I would be pretty upset with my purchase. I wish The pallette was made better for travel, and had a nice mixing area instead of the weird folding lid !! That’s my two cents.

This set was a Christmas present from my husband who knows how passionate I am about painting. As a professional artist and having used student grade paints prior to starting my career, I've learned to get the best results you need higher quality materials and now I won't use anything less ( unless I'm doing a preliminary drawing ) for my paintings. My favorites are Winsor Newton Artist , M. Graham's , Grumbachers and Holbein but this is my first Sennelier's . What a surprise, you do get what you pay for with this set, it's for travel but I'm using it in my studio. These are not cheap but a little goes a long way in these 8- 10 ml tubes. The colors are warm ,rich ,true and vibrant, they don't dull or turn muddy on paper these are rich in pigments. I still love Winsor Newton Artist watercolors but these have just moved my M Graham's to 3rd place ( even though I must say their quality is almost equal to my Sennelier's).

I bought this as a gift for my mom who has painted with watercolors for over 50 years (yup, 50! and still going strong!) She prefers Sennelier over any other brand for it's true pigment and workability. She loves this set although the tubes are the smaller size because all of the necessary colors are well contained and the palette is great to use for mixing or just as a brush rest. The box is sturdy although smaller than the picture makes it look.

I love Sennelier watercolors! Whether pans or tubes, they flow beautifully with amazing colors. I have found it to be so that I don't need a paintbox filled with many colors--these eight make anything I want. That being said, if someone gifted me with a big box of Sennelier paint, I wouldn't turn it down! lol

Colori brillanti e versatili, comodissima la versione in tubetto, ho sempre usato acquerelli solidi, ma devo dire che questi sono più comodi perché non si sporcano a vicenda e basta una quantità minima sulla tavolozza per ottenere grandi quantità di colore. Conoscevo la marca per via dei pastelli secchi, ma anche l'acquerello mi ha sorpreso. CONSIGLIATI

Ces aquarelles sont de la meilleure qualité qui soit (extra fine) et le coffret est très attrayant. De plus il comporte un tiroir à mélange et un pinceau. Je recommande ce set à ceux qui veulent tester les aquarelles Sennelier haut de gamme.

I am not an expert but i must say i love the feel of these paints, well pigmented and has a good flow wet on wet, the pallet is great, i might invest in a few more colours
