Wonderful pen for a Supernote A5X e-Ink device
I own a Supernote A5X e-Ink tablet and while the stylus the comes with the device is of very high quality, it did not fit my hand well as it is a bit too short and the lid does not stay on the top of it when writing. I have been seeking a replacement. I tried multiple types of pen\stylus and someone suggested the Smardi S Pen Plus; it looked very appealing. When it arrived I was immediately taken by how nice it looked and I really liked it had a nib on one end and an ink pen on the other (something I found was needed on occasion even though I am trying to be paperless). I tried the pen on my Supernote A5X and loved the feel in my hand as well as the writing flow on the tablet screen. I used the eraser button on the pen and that worked without having to tweak the device at all. One thing I noticed was the nib that came with the pen was a bit hard for my liking so I searched around Amazon and found felt replacement nibs for a Galaxy Note 9 series pen. When the nibs arrived I found they fit the pen perfectly and I like the feel of writing on the A5X screen much better, it is as close to writing on paper as you can get. With the felt nib in the Smardi S Plus pen it has now become my primary writing tool for my e-Ink tablet. I attach the pen to a loop on my folio case when not in use, it looks very professional. I am going to order a second one just in case I lose this one ! :) I highly recommend the Smardi pen for any device that is capable of using an EMR pen

Best S Pen or stylus I have tried so far!
I have tried a half dozen or so different stylus and this is first one I really like and enjoy. I have a couple Bamboo stylus, and the barrel, pen body started cracking within a few months with the first one I bought. I have had this one now for a while and it is holding up quite well. The ink pen is really only good for signatures, not for any serious amount of writing, but I bought it for the stylus end. The finish on the parts that are metal, is holding up nicely as well. Pleasing design and comfortable to hold. I have some physical issues with my writing hand and the typical S Pens are too small to use comfortably. I use this with 3 different Galaxy pen tablets and 2 different Fujitsu Windows hybrid tablets. I am going to order another one in the new future as a back-up. This is apparently an overlooked product for the few number of reviews so I wanted to make sure to leave mine as it is a worthy product!Personally, I wish it had a metal body. That is just a personal preference. I would be happy to pay as much a $15 more for a metal version.

Works with note 8
First bad, cap got stuck on last pen. I had to use pliers to get it off. Marked up pen. Messed up clip.I got another one. Cap is hard to get off. But I can get it off.And somtimes cap falls off.Good, works good on note 8. Even on lock screen memo. It has s pen button on the side that works. I like the weight and feel of it. It looks elegant, black w silver accents.

Finally! A good S Pen!
After my other not-a-toothpick S Pen died, I picked this one up. (I'm using this on a Samsung Notebook 9 Pro).Wow!This is a great stylus! At last! -One of the biggest problems with Samsung's pen digitizers is that they only make toothpick pens which may be fine for phablet note-takers, but are horribly uncomfortable if you want to spend any time in, say, Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint. This is the first S Pen solution which hasn't felt cheap and too-small and over-compromised. To be fair, I have not tried the Staedtler Pencil, so I can't speak for that, but the reason being is it has no button! I need a barrel button. (Why would they make it with no button?? Whatever. Not my problem.)I pulled the ink nib portion of this pen because I don't need it and don't want to risk getting ink or metal nib scratches on my screen. The button is easy to find, the pressure sense and calibration are perfect out of the box, and the weight and feel of the pen are such that I stop thinking that I've got a pen in my hand and instead just think about what I'm drawing. That's the goal. -With the other styluses I've tried, I was always aware that I was holding a poorly designed stick. This one just melts into my hand and obeys my thoughts.Nice.I leave the cap at home. It weights things oddly when it's on.Oh. And if you want to unscrew the pen to take out the toothpick S Pen inside, (which it comes with already installed), you do so by turning the opposite way you would a normal bolt thread. Don't throw your muscle into turning it the normal way, because you might break it.Anyway, this is the best pen I've used for a Samsung device, bar none. After eight months of work on the N9P, it's a relief to finally come home.

Not that good
The pen half doesn't come out or retract really. Have had it for 5 minutes and can't write with the pen part because it keeps sliding into the body of the pen itself. The stylus is fine but if you're looking for a dual use pen, this isn't it.

Has a real S-pen inside
So far everything works fine with my Note 8. If you buy this primarily for use with a Samsung S-pen device or other Waccom digitizer device you will be happy.Body of Pen:- made of plain black plasticInk Pen portion:- Very small ink reservoir. Don't plan on making this your primary ink pen. Otherwise writes well. I haven't found refills for it yet.S-Pen portion:+ WORKS!+ If you open the pen up you will find a drop in replacement for the Note Stylus inside the shell of the pen. It fits into my Note 8's S-pen slot.+ Can change out types to use any standard Samsun S-pen tip.

It works but I'm not happy with it
in my opinion, the weight is too much distributed towards the cap of the pen, making writing slightly awkward. I do not like the smooth plastic feel of the exterior (seems cheap) and the tips of this pen themselves seem to constantly bend under just the weight of the pen, although I've been using the same tip for well over a month I don't expect it to last much longer.
