Hair Straighten 1. Plug in iron and rotate the switch to the right temperature. The thicker your hair, the higher the numbered setting should be. 2. Separate your hair into several sections. The number of sections will depend on the thickness of your hair. 3. Place the straightener as close to the roots of the section as possible without burning yourself. 4. Clamp the iron down so that the heated sides touch and your hair rests between them. 5. Run the flat iron down the length of your section of hair. 6. Run the straightener over the section several times until it is completely straight. 7. Move the straightened piece out of the way and unclip a new section of hair. Hair Curling 1. Plug in your iron and rotate the switch to the right temperature. The thicker your hair, the higher the numbered setting should be. 2. Split your hair into sections. Even if you have thin hair, you'll get better results if you work with small sections of hair. 3. Start curling. Grab the piece of hair you wish to curl and give it a quick brush through to remove any remaining tangles. Clamp the flat iron around the hair and give it a half turn so that your hair is in a U-shape. Hold the flat iron in this position as you move it down the hair shaft, right to the ends. 4. Loosen your curls (optional). If you want your hair to look softer and looser, run your fingers through the curls a few times. The curls will pull down and loosen up as you do so. Good flat iron - but not the same as a Tyme iron
I purchased this product thinking it would be similar to a Tyme curling iron (as one of the Q&As indicated). While this looks like it would be a great straightener, it was not like a Tyme iron and was not any different from the ceramic straight iron that I already own.

Not worth it at all
I bought three of these type 2 in 1 straighteners.-one by Ovansee-one by furiden-one by turbotdirectAll looked the same. But in the end, one sounded like it was sparking inside. Two of them the plates didn’t even touch the entire length & pulled on my hair. And none of them worked really well at all. I returned all three. I found another the looks like the tyme brand for $55, and I’ll see how that works.

Very pleased
Im really pleased with this flat iron. As long as you keep the sections thin, it will only take one pass thru. I really love how the heating plates are made to keep from pulling or snuggling the hair.

Hard pass!!! Don't buy b
I hated it. Does not curl your hair, leaves bumbs and feels like it pulls all your hair out. Was going to give it to my teenager, but it's so awful I just can't do that to her. Going to return.

Got hot quickly but didn't work as well as expected.
It gets hot but doesn't work as well as I thought it should. My hair is a little wavy and frizzy so it doesn't take much to get it smooth and straight. After using it my hair was less wavy but still not 100% straight. And It was not great for curling. It did not close all the way but the part that did close pulled my hair. I returned the straightener and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Curls for hours
Excellent product. My hair stays curled for hours after use! It took time to get used to the design to get the cleanest curls, but once I did I wont go back to other curlers

Does not last long
Worked great until now. Bought in September 2018 and by March 2019 the plates dont line up. For what I paid for the product it should last for several years!
