Although skin type is determined partly by genes, Apoterra Skincare believe skin changes with the climate/seasons, diet, and age. Your skin may be combination (oily and dry) as well as break out prone during the summer, but might become more dry in the winter. Reassessing the condition of your skin on a seasonal basis will help you find the best skincare ritual. Is everything Apoterra Skincare make natural? Yes! Almost all their ingredients are used in their naturally occuring form. Some ingredients, such as vitamin E and CoQ10 are naturally derived and naturally found in nature. The only ingredients that they use that are not always derived from natural sources is their Vitamin C and Vitamin B3. Apoterra Skincare chose to integrate these into their skincare products as they are extremely effective, they have a proven safety record and they are naturally occurring vitamins. Are your products 100% certified organic? Apoterra Skincare products are made with certified organic ingredients (either USDA or Ecocert certification). Although many of their products are in fact 100% organic, some contain wildcrafted or conventional ingredients (usually less than 5%). Suggested Use: Mix a small amount of the mask (about ½ a tbsp.) with about ½ tsp of water, milk, and hydrosol, one of our toners or herbal tea until you create a thick paste. Add more liquid if necessary. It is recommended to start with less liquid than you think you need, and then add more as needed. Apply paste to clean face and let dry (10-15 minutes). Remove by rinsing with warm water. Follow by cleansing the skin with one of our toners and a cotton pad. Finish with a facial oil or balm. For best results, use after an herbal steam. For dry skin: Try mixing with honey, milk, rose water, rose/chamomile tea or our Rose Hydrating Toner For combination/oily skin: Try mixing with honey, green tea, diluted apple cider vinegar, witch hazel hydrosol, orange blossom water, or our Neroli Clarifying Toner.
