I have long wanted a locked mailbox. My neighbor has something similar. I checked out the stores and was able to see the exact same box, however , the store did not carry the post. Knowing what I wanted, I found the complete package on line. Now I had to figure how to pull out the 27 year old box and install this one. Fortunately I have a friend with the right tools. The old box was bolted in cement and we had to cut the bolts off then shave them flush with the cement base. We assembled the new box and post, then drilled new holes in the cement to match the openings on the base. We used lag bolts (not included) to secure the base to the cement. In all it took 1 hour to assemble and install, including removing the old box & post. I wuld not have been able to do it without my talented friend. He had the knowledge and the tools. If you are not a handyman, you will need one for this project. The box is beautiful and very functional. It stands a bit taller than the previous box, but I think my mail person will appreciate the height.

The product is beautiful at 1st. We purchased the product in May of 2019 and it's in an area that is mostly shaded and covered by a soffit. After only 2 years there are major cracks and chipping on the paint and for the price point I am very disappointed. I would not buy again. It appears I might have to invest in another mailbox within the next 2 years again!

The box itself is very sturdy. The support post is intended to be a decorative surround for a 4x4 post apparently. It will support the box, which is heavy, but if you don’t have a 4x4 post to install it over it may seem a bit flimsy. Another issue I encountered was that the holes for the screws to attach the finial on the top of the box did not align with the holes on the finial. I had to enlarge the holes on the box to make the attachment. All that being said, it is a very handsome mailbox and we love the locking feature. It also will hold a lot of mail.

It looks well made. Everything works as it should. Ample mailbox capacity. The only nitpick is that it comes with two keys. In a household where more than two people might be collecting the mail, that means getting more keys made. Normally not a problem except the supplied keys don't match up to the common blanks we have in the USA. I'll get the problem resolved eventually but it's more work than necessary for what should be a simple detail. Overall, a very good product and yes, I would buy it again. Maybe they'd ship with four keys or offer some key blanks...

This is a very attractive, sturdy mailbox that I have owned for a couple of months now. Installation and assembly are straightforward. The only difficult part was getting a few screws that connect the mailbox to the post to align properly. The mail slot is large enough for someone to stick their hand thru and get the mail out so this is not 100% secure. Overall, I think this is a good product and would recommend it for purchase.

The mail gets damp and wet when it rains. Mailbox Needs to be made water proof.

We love our new mailbox and our postal carrier loves it even more! The assembly instructions were somewhat limited, but with some time and study, we did get it done as intended. The interior space will hold days worth of mail when we travel and the interior door clip is very useful to post outgoing mail with the red flag for the carrier. I would heartily recommend this item for anyone wanting a large and attractive freestanding mailbox.
