I want to call these "luxurious".
I want to call these "luxurious". I know we're talking about dog poop bags, but these are well-designed bags down to the material. They actually feel wonderful to the touch unlike many of the overly crisp dog poop bags, and they come off the roll very easily. It's a chore to pick up after your dog, so it might as well be a little nicer an experience. They also do NOT have a nauseating scent like many bags; they're completely unscented. Best of all, they're a breeze to open up. They're folded in such a way that you can ALWAYS get them open very easily because there's a gap you can put your finger through. I've never spent as much as a second trying to open one of these.Unfortunately the company seems to have switched from rubber bands to stickers to keep the rolls in tact, so you'll put a hole in the first bag you grab, but it may still be usable.I appreciate how thin they are because it makes them really easy to tie off, unlike those thick, crispy bags you find in parks and on trails. But for that reason, these may not be your first choice if you have a large dog (breakage) or a dog that has bowel issues (yuck factor). I have a small dog who eats high-quality food, so there's very little to pick up and it's firm, so the thinness of the bag doesn't gross me out. If my dog had looser stool, I might want a thicker bag just so I don't gag. (But if my dog had looser stool, I'd find better-quality food for it. You and your dog don't have to live like that!)

Good bag but bad for cat litter
I purchased this to scoop up cat litter in hopes of being more eco-friendly, but these prove to be a hassle for me. I have to hold open the bag and scoop the waste in, but the bag is not wide enough for me to do this without me making unwanted contact with the scoop or waste. I also find that one bag is not enough. I was a new cat owner and didn't realize how much litter cat's go through in a day, so I sometimes need to use two bags per day when I scoop the litter in one sitting. I have not had any issues of the bag breaking, just them being too small so I need to use another one to tie it. I'm honestly surprised at how strong the bags are. I think the quality is good so giving it a good review - they just aren't suitable for my purpose. I need a bigger bag. I also want a bag with handles to start using them with a waste bin and for easy tying.

OK, I guess....Wish they would go back to the original thickness/form factor...
These used to be 5 star imo, but it seems the thickness of the bags has changed for the worse. While I haven't experienced any breakages, it is so thin that the, um, aroma, seems to come right through the bag. This formerly wasn't the case. Not too pleasant as I'm walking around the city waiting for the next garbage can to appear....I'm really glad they've gone back to putting them on a roll - for a while they went to providing them in a sort of flat-pack, which frankly was a disaster to carry around and wasted lots of the bag at the top where the perforation is. Presumably these are that much more expensive than non-biodegradable plastic because of the material used and it was irksome to be throwing out so much of it that was used to clump the bags together at the top. When the materials are that expensive, they should go in to the actual bag! So a roll is much more efficient shape to put the bags in. There is also now an actual plastic core to each roll that I'm very disappointed with. First IT'S PLASTIC! Hey! I'm spending like 4x to buy corn-based biodegradable bags to put my dog's poop in to keep the planet clean, do you think I want crappy plastic core?! NO! NO I DON'T! (Lots of mfgs do this type of thing and it drives me bananas.) Plus there is no recycle # on it, so I can't even recycle it.I'll probably buy these again, begrudgingly, but will only use them when I'm out in public (because they hide what's inside...). At home in my yard, however, I'll use these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EWDPPU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00 (they are somewhat transparent; thin, but sturdy enough). PS, I have small dogs, for what it's worth.

Great bags that every dog owner should be using!
After much research, these were the only poop bags I found that are advertised as being completely decomposable. However, for the process to happen, they have to be placed in a composter of some kind. I live in a condo & don't have access to have a composter but i decided to purchase these bags, even though they're a little more expensive because I think they'll have a better chance of decomposing at the landfill, or wherever my trash ends up, then the regular plastic bags, which will certainly never decompose in the near future. The price was good on Amazon & I've had these bags for quite a while & have never had any problems with them losing their structure or becoming useless, like some people seemed to think they would, due to what they're made out of. I've tried all kinds of different brands of poop bags, & these bags feel no different when picking up poop then the regular plastic poop bag. I would recommend this product, they're no different than normal poop bags & have a much better chance of not leaving a continent full of poop bags for our children to deal with.

good biodegradable/compostable poop bag-11 cents per bag
I use this for dog poop bags on walks. It's a little pricey compared to what we're used to, but when you think about how much you're paying per bag, about 11 cents, and that you're using a plastic-free alternative that can biodegrade quickly, I think it's worth it. The bags are thick enough/sturdy enough. We use it for our two dogs; one is 70 lbs and the other is 25 lbs. These bags feel a little slippery, but that's fine. The cores in mine are paper, so that's good. I'm glad they changed that from plastic.

Use for kitty box scooping, but be careful
I was using this bags for litter box scooping. But don't fill super full, and watch the corners of the scooper. I actually find that the Bio Bag compost scrap bags are thicker and durable for what I use them for.
