Very Healthy and Attractive
These came live and gorgeous, and look terrific in my pond. (A plastic one on my patio) I love them. I added some duckweed and it looks very natural and attractive. The bees love it and the algae eater seems happy in there.

A little sad on arrival but a nice looking plant
The plant is interesting in appearance, and will look great in my garden pond. The green with black markings Unfortunately within 1 day if its arrival it started to fade a bit and get a little soft. The plant was very wet on arrival, which was a good sign. I put it into a new pot, with fresh hyponex soil the next morning. I watered it thoroughly. I suspect that it may have frozen in shipment, because it was very cold (around 22 degreesF)the night before. Once it arrived here, we brought it into the house, and put it into a medium sunny area. We have kept it indoors since it arrived, and put it out yesterday into the pond, when the weather reached 72, because many of the branches were turning yellow and brown so we were hoping that it needed more sun. I transplaned it into high grade pond plant media and placed it into the boggy area. I am hoping that the new environment will help.

If you like DEAD plants that are 6" tall, this is for you!
Arrived in a tiny box wrapped in wet newspaper, a baggie, and small USPS box, not in a container as someone stated in the Q & A section (probably by the sellers) . Arrived quickly. Not at all the size advertised - said "...1-2 feet...:" and this is barely 6 inches in height. They look kind of dead, but I followed the poorly-written instructions and planted it in a container and put it where it will get sun. We'll see what happens, but I am very disappointed in the size and quality. I mean, seriously, I thought it was a joke when I saw the box the post office brought. And who sends live plants through USPS?!?5/17/17 Have contacted seller repeatedly for refund and keep getting inconsistent responses, no refund. Attached is a pic of the DEAD, 6" high alleged "plant" they sent me - as you can see, it is a disaster. I had it outside on my balcony and moved it back in yesterday out of sheer embarrassment of what my neighbors think....

I am pleased with the way the plants are growing and I'm ...
Received a set of reeds end of April. Planted as instructed and of 16 plants, only one had sprouted. Contacted the seller, thinking I may not have planted them correctly. The seller responded promptly and suggested I wait a little longer. He was right. Almost all 16 have sprouted. I was offered a refund following my initial contact, but it's not necessary. I am pleased with the way the plants are growing and I'm pleased with my contact with the seller.

Some TLC and the bamboo grows perfectly!
I was not sure what to expect by ordering bamboo from Amazon. After a few days of ordering, the package arrives with stalks of bamboo cut to size to fit into the USPS box with the roots wrapped in wet newspaper. Instructions were provided regarding the steps I needed to take as an owner on a small index sized piece of paper. So, I purchased a planter, put enough potting soil to cover about 4-5" of the root and bamboo stalk and watered until the soil was wet. I watered daily for about 3 days and have started to water every couple of days. After about two to three weeks, new growth has formed on the existing cuts and new bamboo stalks have formed. With some TLC and plenty of sun, water, and patience - you will be happy with your purchase.

Didn't survive!
Ordered them last fall. I planted them according to instructions, but they all died over the winter. I really would love to have a wall of Horsetail bamboo, but do not know if they will live through the winter in cold weather.

Doing okay...
They've been in about 2 months now and the 6 inch cut off reeds are spreading. They've produced dozens and dozens of taller reeds, most of which are quite thin and have a difficult time supporting themselves. I was looking for something to that grew upright, unfortunately, most of these are falling over sideway. They've slowly started to fill in the container I've planted them in. Hoping that next year they'll be larger and able to support themselves.
