ENORMOUS box of fantastic incense! TEN stars!
I had an *idea* what 500 grams of pure resin incense (that is the Frankincense: the resin) might look like but I still received more then I was expecting, considering the weight of tree resin. The incense arrived in a big hefty box measuring:14cm tall10cm wide7 cm thickThe thick plastic bag inside of the box (thick enough to keep the incense fresh if closed properly) was filled very nearly to the brim with richly scented beads of resin. These beads are small and neat, the bigger beads only about 3mm. I found them easy to pile on top of the free charcoal disks that came with each box of incense.I ordered 4 of the scents:St. MichaelSanctuaryPrioryAbbeyWhen you sniff the incense in the box it's quite strong and heady but once it is smoking on the charcoal the scent is still strong but less intense, so you don't end up with a headache. I really do feel that I have been given my money's worth!A side note: At the moment I am struggling with the incense burning to a crisp after about 3 minutes on the charcoal. This gives off a hideous acrid stench. I'm experimenting with differing levels of ash-and-sand on top of the charcoal and maybe even a "dish" made from aluminum foil, something to keep the incense from burning to char directly on the hot coal. So if you experience a few minutes of lovely aroma and then a nasty acrid stink, you might have the same problem and there are solutions. Google "how to burn resin incense on charcoal" for ideas.
