Norton ProSand Premium Job Pack Abrasive Sheet, Next Generation of 3X Technology, Fiber Backing, Aluminum Oxide, Grit P60 (Pack of 20)

I first discovered this stuff at Home Depot in 2005 and decided to try it due to the anti-loading claims on the package. It was great. Not only did it not load up with old paint, it continued to cut *long* after standard AO sandpaper quit.Fast forward to last week when I used the last sheet in the 20+3-sheet "Jobpack/Bonus Pack" and went back to HD looking for more. Of course HD no longer carries this product so I left with what they now have, 3M Pro Grade no-slip grip (tm) backing sandpaper. It supposedly lasts 7X longer than standard sandpaper due to the reinforced backing. Puh-lease...With that unhappy discovery I went straight to the web and found the Norton 3X sandpaper at Amazon in all the grits I wanted. Three days later USPS delivered my package and I was using the Norton 3X again.It really is the "World's Best Sandpaper" as the package boasts.I was glad to see that the 3X sandpaper is still made in Canada by Saint-Gobain.

I use a considerable amount of sandpaper in my woodworking hobby, mostly on hardwood like cherry, maple and ash. I use it fastened in sanding blocks when I'm looking to maintain flatness and I use it folded over on contoured surfaces. I use 80, 120, 180 and a little 220 grit. I've tried several brands, some expensive,some cheap. I am now using only Norton sandpaper. I like that it cuts good and lasts long.

This review is not for the ProSand which is excellent, lasts long and doesn't clog. I'm doing cabinet finishing.I ordered 4 packs of 20 pieces 220G Norton ProSand and received Norton Premium. I ordered from RDC Tool and Supply.Even though Premium are decent, ProSand last longer and clog less. Very dissatisfied with my order.When you order make sure you receive Norton ProSand.

I recently ran out of my previous purchase of this grit, so I bought more. It's usually my go-to grit in my woodshop for various tasks. It's easy enough to various how much sanding occurs between the time spent sanding and pressure. Using my hand sander, I get 4 pieces to the sheet.... so it lasts quite awhile.

I do a lot of sanding, both raw wood and between finish coats. This 320 grit is mainly for the latter. I much prefer Norton over 3M sandpaper. The 3M "tacky" back products are heavy, which you might think would be good but it's not if it interferes with folding or sanding fine features. Norton seems to last a lot longer. Doesn't load up (clog) as quickly with wood or finish dust. Works well for both hand and machine sanding.

I use a lot of sandpaper on wood projects. Works great, strong enough for the job and produces excellent results.

I liked the fact there was enough stock for me to purchase at a very reasonable price and it arrived sooner then expected.

I love the fact this sandpaper has a sticky back and I can use it for many uses because of it. Good quality.
