My favorite pencils!!
I'm a bit of a mechanical pencil addict and this is one of my favorites. These pencils are light and well made. I write very hard and I found that Zebra's rectangular lead really holds up under the pressure I put on them. No snapping while writing and I'm not going through the refills. The lead is smooth and strong. It's thick and rectanglular shaped. Erasers erase nice with no smudges and they last long.

Awesome for wood working!
I use this pencil for wood working. I traded over from a more traditional "lead holder" cabinet maker pencil and I'm not looking back. This pencil is just as sturdy, far lighter, and quite a bit cheaper. The heavier lead is sturdy and holds up well to area marking for planing/jointing/sharpening, whatever your markup application. The included eraser works well on wood and holds up nicely as well! It's great for marking for rough cuts. The lead is too big to mark detail work, but I shouldn't have to tell you that given it's a 0.9mm lead size!My only great disappointment is I haven't been able to find lead refills.

best pencil
I have looked everywhere for this pencil. I had one from traveling abroad and have been trying to find it to purchase. The square type tip is great, it hardly every breaks when using it. Nice and bold.

Pretty good, but always have a backup pencil.
The pencil is pretty good, but I think it took me about a little while to get use to the feeling and using it for bubbling in.Pros:Can use for BlueprintingFills it in nicerWon't fall off or slide aroundCons:Took a bit getting use toLead is hard to buy as a refillOverall: I would suggest everyone to buy one of these, it isn't just for one simple use for scantron, although I did use it for my exams, I also use it when I am designing new prototypes of things and or when I like to draw blueprint of houses before making a 3D model of them ( makes a nice line since the lead is square).

Exactly what I was looking for
I found a pencil just like this years ago and haven't been able to find one like it since. Most carpenter's pencils I have found are angular to prevent them from rolling off of a slanted surface, but I like the rounded edges on this one because I use the pencil for drawing. The main reason I wanted a mechanical carpenter's pencil was the lead. I love the lead. It isn't round like writing/drawing mechanical pencils, it's flat and rectangular, which gives you varying line widths.A very great sketching pencil, will definitely be ordering more when it comes time to replace this one.

this is the best pencil ever
If u do music, this is the best pencil ever. I once turned in a composition where the teacher simply looked at it and said "A PLUS" No other student was given an A. The pencil basically makes your writing way darker and gives a calligraphy effect (like on the flags of eighth notes). I even give it as a gift to my teachers to try in their own writing. Also since it's such a dark and thick lead it's great for marking up scores and parts.

Definitely worth the money!
The pencil writes very smoothly and comes with extra lead, and, 2 EXTRA erasers.

Funky!
The style of it is weird to me it's oblong and not round which is neat but harder to hold with big hands, the pencil lead is RECTANGULAR in shape so you can't use regular 0.9mm lead in the pencil either. I don't like it but my daughter did. So I guess it was a win?
