Bought 2 of these mounting grips to hold 2 solar panels I also bought on Amazon. They mounted easy on the boat rail and feel sturdy and secure. Great buy!!

Does exactly what it is supposed to so, quality is high. Love the quick disconnect capability and the adjustable tilt. Has two attachment clamps, one for round and one for square/flat surfaces to attach to. I use the round one on the stern rail of my boat, and the square mounting clamp below to store the panel in the cabin when I do not need it. I thought it would be too flimsy, but works great! I added two aluminum 1/8 inch flat bars across the back of my 10 watt panel to attach the mount to, and it makes for a very strong mounting.

I bought three of these for my 2 sailboats. They work great. At first I thought they were a bit unstable and flimsy, but after a year of using them in heavy seas, they hold up just fine. Plus they are excellent when it come to adjusting direction.One problem I did address, the main rail mount screws were very tight. I re-drilled the clearance holes to a slightly larger size and this freed up the wing nuts to better thread into the tapped clamp portion of the rail mount. A very easy fix that the manufacturer should incorporate into their next batch of parts if they haven't done so already.

Was able to modify to fit a 30 watt flexible solar panel for my sailboat.

This is made for a very small light solar panel.

We bought two mounting grips for our sailboat solar panels, they work perfectly and weathered the sailing season without any problem. We mounted them on the rear pulpit and they stayed put through lots of weather.

It mounts firmly to the rail and is easily adjustable. It looks like a well designed product.
