Attractive, Economical, Sturdy Hangers -- Repeat Purchase
Traditions Performance Firearms Brass Curved Gun Hangers This is our second Amazon purchase of this item (a third set was purchased at our local Cabela's) so, obviously, we liked it. My husband has a collection of Civil War era guns (reproductions)and storing them gets to be an issue. He decided to try mounting them on the wall in his den. We tried other types of hangers but these perform the best and are very attractive without being obtrusive. They are easy to mount; we drilled holes and used screw-anchors for added support. The only caveat is this: The brass screws that are provided with the hangers are way too short. For less than a dollar, we bought a four-pack of the same size and type of brass screws except that they are a little bit longer. If my memory serves, the screws that come with the kit are about 1/2" long and we got 1" or 1-1/2" long screws. On first glance the hangers seem to be a little flimsy but once properly attached to the wall, they are solid and support very well. If they were more rigid, it seems that your gun might be more likely to be scratched or damaged when placing it into the hanger or removing it.The hangers have a felt strip lining the curved portion - where the gun rests - providing a little cushion so that your rifle or gun will not be scratched. The price was much lower than we could find locally, and shipping was very fast. Overall, these hangers are an excellent solution for firearm storage and display.

Ok but one mistake.
The hooks are pretty. The felt strips to apply to the inside surface are great. The brass screws provided are too short to penetrate drywall into the stud. Now I have to find someplace selling long brass screws or risk my fancy muzzleloader falling off the wall and cracking the skull of someone sitting on the couch. The weight of the firearm is enough to cause the screws to work in the drywall itself and loosen their hold. This is dangerous!Longer screws please!Edit: saw this old review and thought I would update. Got longer brass screws at my hardware store, and the hooks have stayed out with no trouble for over a year now, with a heavy reproduction hexagonal-barreled .50 cal hawken-style cap lock muzzleloader mounted in them. I would be interested to know if seller ever started packaging these with a more appropriate screw length?

Best for the Buck...
These Brass long gun hangers come in pairs with felt stick-on padding (not noted in add), and look to be the equivalent of same item sold by Cabela's, but at a much better price. The set comes with screws, but comments from others indicate longer screws are needed to insure a secure attachment. Brass is strong enough for long guns, but can be "bent" (open more or closed more) for custom fit. Although intended for long guns, I am using these to hang/ display a collection of Bugles for which these hangers are idealy suited as well. (I keep my Long guns in a safe, but would use this item if I were going to display a rifle over my fireplace).

Took a chance, not disappointed!
Beautiful things, heavy too, I was searching endless for something that could properly hold my sword, my search ended here. The hooks look nice without attracting to much attention, and they're pretty good size for what they act for. Very relieved and happy with how these turned out.

Perfect fpr Antique Rifle Displays
Looked around for a while to find some nice looking, yet simple, gun hangers that looked sturdy enough for some old long guns. Wanted something that slightly accented the rifle but not so ornate that they stole the whole show. These were ideal. Heavy duty hangers, included a soft felt self-adhesive pad inside so as not to damage the gun. The look really great on the wall. For the price I would highly recommend.

Ok
Small screws and I definitely need to go get some longer screws to make sure an early 1700 musket/long rifle stays in place.I like that the hooks are bendable to help keep it snugger in the hooks and will deter the grandson from just grabbing the rifle.

Looks great, needs different screws.
Looks great with my Hawken, however, as others have stated, the screws need to be longer, and I had to buy others that would work.

Niced gun hangers
We have ordered several sets of these. They are nice hangers. I got them in brass because that is all they had. I wanted some in a silver finish but the brass is nice too.
