beautiful light, unfortantely so poorly packaged the lighr was dented in multiple area...so dispappointed!

This is a nice quality exterior light fixture. It is all metal and glass construction. The rustic look went well with the old west theme I have in my backyard. It has a simple 3-wire (hot, neutral, ground) hookup and it comes with installation hardware for a standard wall box and includes couple of wire nuts. The instructions recommend sealing around the top 2/3 of the base with caulking to prevent water entry. I used some electrician's putty. My light arrived in perfect condition, but I did read a buyer's review stating that their light's globe was broken. Definitely inspect the package when it arrives for breakage. There is only a thin cardboard insert inside the box to protect the light so I can see how it could get broken if handled roughly. I installed a 100W equivalent CFL bug light and it provides plenty of light for my entryway.

Bought these for our boat dock. Definitely not heavy duty metal. They will be under roof so hoping they last. Love the look however. I bought the 10".

Bought seven of these for a new build in 2014. All of them showed signs of rusting within a couple years. Four years on and two of them are so corroded they are falling apart just at a touch. The ones that are most rusted are on the north side under the eves and the house location is very foggy, so I think they get wet and don't dry out as well as the others. The ones are the south side of the building aren't as bad -- they get full sun so I think they dry out more quickly. We are reluctantly buying two more of the same to replace the worst ones on the house because alternatives are 5-10 times the price. So until we find reasonably priced alternatives in a metal that won't rust, we'll probably just replace with these every few years.

I bought these for a house and liked them since they have a sensor and come on at night and shut down during sunlight. Bought another one for another house since I liked this feature. They look great.

My prior doorside lanterns were beautiful, but never delivered truly adequate lighting. These lanterns have solved the problem, and are fairly attractive. In fact, a few friends have complimented them as “style improvements”, and every guest who’s arrived, or departed after dark appreciates the extra light.

These lights are so much nicer than I expected!! I love the bronze color, they look great and they came assembled Which made them fairly easy to install. They are a nice size, bigger than they appeared in the ad and were a great buy for the price.

As advertised, these were easy to install, look good, far better than what they replaced, and are remarkably low-priced. Yes, they came with UL and Wet Location labels.Other open-bottom exterior fixtures had been invitations for insect nests, so I'd recommend using a circle of aluminum screening inserted in the bottom as discouragement. Any nests will get built outside the screening and be far easier to deal with, and fiberglass screening has proven too flexible to stay in place in high winds. The base of the fixture provides the cutting pattern, and the internal stub-ends of the globe cage serve as retainers.
