Tandy Leather Wooden Mallet 3446-00

I use it to hammer in metal upholstery tack strips without damaging the fabric. Works fine.

This is a quality wooden mallet great for small gentle projects. I'm using it for installing parts on firearms that require a gentle touch and to avoid any scratches from metal hammers.

I bought it to work with leather, works great

Have been using for a little while, great for small projects.

Found this did not work well when using Tandy Leather rivets and rivet setting tools. Used the heavier duty mallet at my local leatherworkshop and the same rivets / setting tools and it worked great.

Well it's not made of rawhide but it'll do its also good for traveling, doesnt weigh a ton in your luggage so thats goodDef. Doesn't stamp as clear and hard as rawhide mallet does cause ya need a few more swings than just 2Only done a few works and already looks pretty batteredI'll do an update in a few months of use
