Combonation opens with any number
Its a good product to lock up equipment, I've bought them in the past however this last one I bought one side opens with any number and I can't find a customer service number to Lockstrap to return for a replacement one.

Easy to pick
These look good but don't offer much protection other than by their cosmetics. They do look imposing. They can be opened, blindfolded, in less than 10 seconds by just putting a little tension on the lock barrel and turning the number wheels one at a time. When the wheel locks into place, move to the next one until you've done all three and you're home free. The only purpose these serve it to make it easier to steal the other guys stuff. TtheText you copy will automatically show they certainly won't stop any but the most inept thief.

Bike Safety in a new form
I've been on countless bike enthusiast web pages and seen a bazillion videos about how to lock up your bicycle properly and deter thieves from snatching your precious 2-wheeler. Somewhere along the way, I heard about Lockstraps and decided to give it a whirl.Growing up in Chicago, and having had a (rather saweeeeet) bike stolen back in the day, I've always placed a premium on buying the heaviest chain/lock combo I could get my hands on. Dragging around all that weight seemed like a small price to pay in exchange for not having my ride stolen. Great thing about Lockstraps is that they don't weight nearly as much. Wrap the straps around your bicycle and lock the locks, and you're good to go.Though I don't live in an area where I worry about my bike getting nicked anymore, it's still nice to know that it's protected. I don't know what else to say in a review about a bike lock. I suppose since my trusty steed hasn't been stolen, I guess it's a five-star lock . . . though I don't wanna jinx myself. The thing is stronger than it looks. And you can put a different combination on each carabiner too.

great product.
it works perfect, strongly holds in place, the only thing is that due to the steel cable in the middle of the Tie Down, it makes it very hard to release.

Overpriced junk
I bought one of these to secure items in my truck. I know they aren't indestructible, but more of a deterrent. The problem is, the locks do not work and will open with any combination. This makes it nothing more than a large crappy strap.Customer service is non existent.

REMEMBER OUR COMBINATION
EASY SET UP AND WORKS GREAT TO LOCK DOWN MY PORTABLE GENERATOR. BUT DO REMEMBER YOUR COMBINATION AND DOUBLE CHECK IT ON THE CORRECT SIDE OF THE NUMBERS YOU SET. LOOK FOR THE RAISED LINES ON THE COMBINATION INDICATOR TO MAKE SURE THE NUMBERS YOU SET ARE CORRECT.

But if you are like I was
BEWARE, this may not be the strap that works for the object you wish to secure. If you can thread the strap through the object itself and to something else secure (like the object's handle to a fence, or the object's wheel to a frame), then when a thief loosens the buckle the thief still has to cut through the strap to steal the object because the strap is still attaching the object to something else even if the strap is loose. But if you are like I was, looking for a strap that would cinch down and be self-securing (like a box to a table), then all the thief must do is loosen the buckle and take the object from under the strap. I eventually found a box and table big enough to stretch the strap to its limit, meaning that there was nothing left to loosen by fiddling with the buckle, and then the strap worked for me, and quite well -- very sturdy. Another way to make it work for objects that do not have handles/frames/etc. is to add more bulk to what you are trying to secure, and that will have the same effect of pushing the strap out to the limit of its length, so a thief does not have the option of loosening the buckle.

I bought this to hold my bikes down when on a non enclosed trailer .
But I ended up using it in the garage to loop through the frames of a few items so they couldn't be removed easily or without slowing someone down the 10 minutes the silent alarm could get a response from best case . Very easy to put your own combination into . A little expensive I bought one on a gold box special for $30 . $40 is a little painful $30 is where I feel comfortable but I will buy another as it is better then a chain and less expensive then cables plus easier to fold up , store , and work through items to lock together . I can recommend this a good purchase . I think selling them in pairs with a discount for buying more then one would help sell more and keep bikes more secure .
