They are really just ink markers with a brush-like tip. It looks like ink but you can make paint strokes as you would a paint brush. Shows up great on paper and alright on plywood.

After watching several YouTube videos on the use of these type markers and using recommended papers I find that these are more than adequate for a novice with watercolors.THe 3rd picture is my re-do effort on proper watercolor paper. It makes all the difference.

The quality of these markers is amazing. I wasn’t used to the tip of them at first because it’s exactly like a paintbrush, but once I got used to them, I fell in love with them. I highly recommend this product!

Pens are very dry and some were broken
