While not as classic as his Roman series, Sears book is one of the few out there actually useful in helping folks identify ancient Greek coins.

Contains a brief overview and then complete detailed listings.Recommended

Wish were combined with sears book number two, as ancient coin collecting is generally focussed all over the ancient greek and roman world.

No dust jacket as advertised, but otherwise a fine book

In need of a modern feel. USD wouldn't hurt. Why not more pics..?

I bought this to replace the older edition I still use. It is more or less identical, but the pictures are not as clear, which is a disappointment in this day and age. It is still one of the best books for the coin collector on Ancient Greek coins and is indispensable in whatever edition you select!

Buen empaquetado. Libro con el papel amarilleando, y en buen estado. Deberia indicarse el estado del papel, ya que es un manual que debe usarse a menudo, y el tono amarillento, señal del paso del tiempo, reduce el contraste perdiéndose calidad de visión.

El libro tiene sus años, y quizás, no está a la altura de algunas ediciones posteriores sobre esta temática, especialmente a lo que valoraciones monetarias se refiere, pero sigue siendo una fuente esencial, como fondo de biblioteca, para todo coleccionista de griegas.Me encantan los aportes históricos realizados sobre el contexto de acuñación de muchas piezas, y las interpretaciones históricas, de estilo y mitológicas de otras.
