2 compartments May be appealing, but space is limited.
This is a decent lunch box. Initially I liked the two separate compartments. I started useing this when my (under 1) daughter began eating solids, and I had to send both food and bottles to child care. We now just use it for lunch, and a water bottle and a sippy cup of milk. We put the bottles in the top part and lunch items in the bottom. We use a slim ice pack in both sections. We have to squeeze the bottles to fit the top, but we make it work. And we are able to get 4 lunch items in the bottom. The bottom is narrower with the ice pack, and only very small Tupperware or bagged items fit. We’ve been using it for nearly a year and it’s still in decent shape, no rips, and zippers still work. Handle has a clasp if you want to hook it in to a back pack or what not.I think the idea of a two compartment lunch box is appealing, but if you are trying to keep multiple things cold, or have large bottles, look at all your options.

Cute but smells awful!
This lunchbox is so adorable and it would have been roomy enough to hold a lunch just right for my preschooler. But when I took it out of the package it reeked of perfume. It's like someone sprayed it down before packing it. I can smell it across a room it's so strong. I'm sending it back .

It lasted the entire year in perfect condition with everyday use
I ordered the fox lunchbox when my daughter started daycare in the 2 year old class. It lasted the entire year in perfect condition with everyday use. Now she's in the three year old class and it just got a small tear on the inside where the zipper snags on the material. Overall it lasted 1 and 1/2 years with everyday use (weekdays). The top portion holds a lot of containers, as long as there not adult size containers, and the bottom can be used for extra food or to place an ice pack. I've done both. AND it's super cute!! I love it so much I knew when it was time to replace it I was going to order the exact same style/brand. I'm going to buy the unicorn lunchbox next as a Christmas gift. :)

Adorable!
Sooo adorable for my kindergartener! Great size for all her lunch plus snack needs and her thermos fits perfect in the bottom part. She adores the unicorn. I wish this had been available for personalization though

Adorable lunch bags, understand limitations to avoid disappointment
My daughter loves horses and I bought the horse bag about 3 months ago when she started kindergarten. The design is just darling and the outer shell has not started showing signs of wear and tear yet. My daughter has to bring a snack and lunch to school every day so the dual compartments work out well for that. Snacks go in the bottom and lunch goes in the top, this keeps her and her teacher from getting confused over what to eat when. I do wish the top portion was just a tad larger. We have a 10 ounce thermos funtainer food jar for hot foods (great for keeping chicken nuggets warm) and a funtainer 12oz bottle to keep her milk cold. I have a hard time fitting both in the top compartment together plus a fruit/veggie. I typically end up just leaving her drink container outside of the lunch pack and leaving it up to her to remember to grab it. This has resulted in a few days of the drink container coming home full of spoiled milk. That doesn't make me happy since the only reason I bother to pack milk is so she can have organic, which I pay a premium for. I didn't realize that a non-insulated bag would be a problem when I bought it. My girl had previously been an die hard PB&J fan but she has developed a love for cold cuts. I haven't found a good way to keep them cold from 7am to noon with this bag. I tried Rubbermaid Lunch Blox but the ice pack starts to warm after a few hours and it is difficult to close the bag when the blocks are all snapped together. So, the non insulation limits the menu choices to non perishables and hot/cold things that fit into the food jar. That is my own fault due to lack of experience and might not be a problem for others if you understand the limitations going in. We can certainly work around it for now and I would consider future purchases if the next generation of bags allows for transportation of perishables with better peace of mind.Pros:Adorable and unique among a sea of frozen lunch boxesTwo compartments allow for carrying of two distinct mealsEasy for smaller kids to open/close/pack by themselvesCons:Bag does not stand well if bottom compartment is not filled.Top compartment is on the smallish side (- 1/2 star)No insulation limits food choices (-1/2 star)Inside of the top compartment is white and stains easily. In short, if you understand what you are getting and can work with the limitations, this is a super cute way to send your kiddo off to school.

Item was much smaller than expected and front with cat face was cheap vinyl. Fabric looked faded.
