Formalizes your LSAT test prep
The DVD helps to formalize preptest practice. If you read any serious prep advice, it basically boils down to taking your LSAT preptests under realistic timed conditions once you have mastered the question and section types. The LSAT Proctor DVD by Simugator is the closest you will get to having an actual proctored practice test session.Use Take test at first. The Take test with distractions is too much for someone first starting out practicing their timed preptests. Another thing would be to time individual sections of the test before you start taking full tests timed. The DVD comes with instructions and tips on how to use it, which are all straightforward but good to know. They give you links to the preptests and approved analog watches to use on the LSAT. Their suggestions are all analog watches with bezels that can be found on Amazon. They used to sell an analog LSAT watch, but it doesn't look like they carry it anymore. They also have an insert that directs you to a website where you can rate and review and see ratings and reviews for LSAT test centers. There is also a coupon for an editing service for personal statements, resumes, etc. for when you are applying to law school. If you have a Blu-ray or DVD player, it might be easier to use it on that and set up a desk in front of your TV so that you can get a more realistic setting for your preptest practice, especially more room. Make sure you have some pencils as well.Get whatever preptests you can that you haven't used already for practice because you will have to use old preptests for the experimental section of the test. Preptests only come with four sections and the writing sample, and the full LSAT is five sections and the writing sample. They mention this in the instructions they include with the DVD.So in order to fully make use of the DVD, you need to have one full preptest on hand and one section of another older preptest on hand to use as the experimental section, which you can change up at random. This is what I like to do- change the order of the experimental section for each test I take just so I make each preptest as realistic as possible to the real exam. So an older exam can be used as an experimental section for four different newer preptests with one section for each of the four newer LSATs. If you have a book of 10 older LSATs, that's basically all you need for experimental sections since you would have potentially 40 sections to use with newer tests as experimental sections.I am happy with this purchase. There are a few quirky things like the menu music and the strange voice in the beginning, but $19.99 isn't bad for a proctor to proctor 40 or 50+ or more preptests in a realistic fashion. It's a good value and definitely worth it in my opinion.

Don't Waste Your Money
I was looking for something that had test questions like a LSAT test. There are no test questions on here. This is nothing more than a video of people taking the test. You see the proctor give test instructions while you look at the back of the test takers heads. It is like watching a video of your SAT or ACT testing day from high school. I couldn't see the value in it.

LSAT PrepTest aid. Simulates the environment and timing of the day of the test.
Works flawlessly on my laptop, PS4, and Blu-ray player. It also works on my parents' old DVD player. I feel it almost looks better on a large flat screen television. It definitely helps to make it seem like an actual testing environment if your TV is large enough. It's almost like looking through a big window or actually being in the room yourself if you have a good sound system and 60 or 70-inch TV. Just make sure you set yourself up close enough to the screen so that you feel as if you are in the environment but far enough away so that it seems realistic in terms of desk spacing.Comes with paper instructions, which were helpful in explaining what you should have as far as LSAT preptests to practice with. You need an extra section from an older test in order to have all the sections necessary to recreate the full test. PrepTests don't come with the experimental section. It also provides links to a list of every LSAT preptest ever issued, although the older the preptests, the harder they are to come by and the more expensive they are when you do find them available online. It also provides a link to the free preptest the LSAC provides on its website, as well as some links to analog watches that can be used during the LSAT that meet LSAC criteria. In sum, it works great for timing your preptests. It's sort of a set it and forget it type of deal. You just turn it on, select the mode you want (normal or added distractions), and follow the LSAT Proctor's instructions. She'll read off some rules and guidelines and then have you start the test. She'll give you 5 minute warnings towards the end of each section and tell you when to stop and start each section. There's even a 10 minute break in the middle where she collects everyone's tests and then proceeds to check IDs and pass out tests again after the break ends. There's even a time allotted at the end for the writing section, which you should try to practice as well. And you can start from any section you wish to start from or do a section at a time since there's a section selection screen (like a chapter listing on a DVD).Very satisfied with my purchase of the LSAT Proctor DVD by Simugator . It will be put to good use. I hope this review was helpful to you in explaining my experience with the product and the product itself, especially if you are practicing for the LSAT or looking for something to help you time your LSAT preptests. I know that I was not 100% sure what this was before I bought it, but I am very glad I did. Try it out. You'll be happy you did if you are serious about improving your score. I definitely would recommend it now that I've used it.
